Fashion (2007) changed the trajectory of Priyanka's career. I would say that it was her first opportunity as a female lead to actually show what she can do. Before that she was mostly known for her beauty and popular songs. Post Fashion she was able to experience more with movies like Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf & Barfi. Her most loved performance might be Bajirao Mastani (2015) which ironically is the last movie she did before making a complete transition to the States. Priyanka broke the glass ceiling completely as a brown girl to make it in the West so she does make us all proud but because she left her Indian audience at the height of her career there's also backlash that her projects in the West haven't done justice to her talent and that she hasn't found box office success and critical acclaim there as of yet.

Priyanka is a terrific actress... She won national award for Fashion and everyone uesd to think she should get one for barfi too... Aitraaz was a very bold movie and best movies of her are anjana anjani, fashion , kaminey, Barfi, bajirao Mastani, Aitaraaz, Gundey, Don, marykom, Teri meri kahani and mujhse shadi karogi... She really nailed all kind of acting action , dance drama bold sift historical all... She is True defination of beauty with brain...

The movie Kaminey was not included in this compilation, THAT was the turning point for showing her complexity as an actress, 3 years before Barfi. Ironically it was also the turning point for Shahid Kapoor (Jab We Met boy) to show his skills as an actor beyond romcoms. I'm really sad they didn't include the song Raat Ke Dhai Baje from that movie in this video, because it's one of my favourite Bollywood songs ever.

Priyanka hasn't done many mega mega hits but she has been consistent with her output and that's what she has in her corner. Her perseverance.
Also, she is not exactly a "pop girl" it's just that her songs which you saw were mostly lighthearted ones
She was 100% an IT girl during the late 2000s and early 2010s. Aitraaz, Fashion, Dostana etc solidified that.

SHE'S THE OG "Desi Girl" which was like the nickname of "face of India." She's such a well known person in India, like definitely couldn't ever walk the streets without getting mobbed; and even in the US, she's basically considered on the power list there as well. She's super talented, and has had a very diverse filmography there, and I can't wait for her to show that versatility in the US over time. LOVE HER!!! no Efra, she was in Bajirao Mastani, Barfi I think from what you've seen. You guy need to react to her film THE SKY IS PINK. Absolutely amazing heart touching movie.

And pushed the boundaries with her Hollywood career. But we really miss her in Bollywood cause she kinda had it all as you said.
She basically has the strongest most confident personality in Bollywood , she tried different roles did bold things and wasn't apologetic about it , she's such an inspiration ❤️

If you wanted to see a Priyanka movie i am going to suggest Fashion what a performance by her No doubt Barfi is her best performance but her actual master acting starts from Fashion movie as her early days movie were disasters.
her early movies were not disasters, let me recommend you aitraz, andaz, don, krissh, mujhse shadi karoge, Bluffmaster, and few more were hits or blockbusters
Priyanka Chopra is one of the actresses who is capable of performing various types of roles as innocent, typical Indian Village girl, modern society girl, clever lady Boss or stupid dumb( knowing nothing about the world), energetic powerful lady and more. Strong acting and dancing ability is a key factor of her. She is the modern version of Actresses Rekha from the 80's .

Vikram, maaveeran, Andhadhun, kumbalangi nights, super deluxe.
All of them are great movies.
Most of the earlier songs in the video are Alka Yagnik... But its not really because Alka Yagnik was the voice for Priyanka... It was just because this was the era where Alka sang literally everything....
I don't think Lata or Asha have ever sung for Priyanka. Keep this in mind, Lata and Asha BARELY sang in the late 90s/early 2000s. Maybe 1 film a year.
I think DDLJ was the last movie when Lata Mangeshkar sang most songs in the movie

Priyanka is amazing my fab actress since childhood she left bollywood when she was at her peak here everyone in india knows her . now she not as talked about in bollywood but she is iconic much like beyonce .her acting has is also phenomanal . During starting of her career its debatable but after aitraaz she became iconic during that time actresses didnt play a bitch to retain their image but she did and was widely accepted and praised for her performance ❤

Now you guys have to watch Rani Mukherjee's evolution (the actress in Saathiya song by A R Rehman, you did podcast on the hits of 2000's) . She is a great actress, very underrated dancer tbh. She is not a trained dancer but can pull of very nicely. One of my favourite till today is Rani 😌❤️.

Watch Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara starring Hrithik, Farhaan, Abhai, Kalki, Katrina. It has everything one could want from a movie. Same genre as Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani, but so much better. Fantastic music too. The Senorita song is from this movie.
Next movie "Dangal" please 🙏🏻❤️ bassed on true story
My favourite Priyanka film ever is 7 Khoon Maaf (7 Murders Forgiven). It's a black comedy such as you've never seen before and Priyanka is simply outrageously good in the film.

Actually the movie that really changed people’s perspective of her as not just a good actress but a thespian, is 7 Khoon Maaf.
She was absolutely phenomenal in that film. For me her best performance after Barfi!

"Puli" is an interesting south Indian film depicting abnormal/magical things. We can call it our own mix of harry potter/wednesday or whaveter. I hope you will react to it as well, another would be "magadhira" it is an historical+modern film (nthg relared to typical og history) just two wholesome films, probably some of the bests

Her songs- in my city ft will i am, exotic ft Pitbull, I can't make you love me. In aitraaz she was the villain and in Baywatch, 7 Khoon maaf is based on a book by Ruskin bond and Mary Kom is a biopic and a first female sportwoman oriented movie.

With the mention of Alia, I realize another phenomenal movie to mention would be Highway. It most definitely falls under the heavier movie category. Not exactly a light hearted watch. That being said, A.R is the composer and the soundtrack is incredible. The acting, storyline and direction are also A+.
Well, frozen 2 isn't the only movie priyanka has given her voice to. I think she did a phenomenal job with kaa's voice in the jungle book (the snake)
at 3:40 the movie is karam and the song is tinka tinka. it puts a big smile on my face every time i see anyone reacting to something that has priyanka in it. i've seen all of her bollywood movies, i terribly miss her acting esp in hindi cinema. she has always been my number one favorite
