Don’t apologize. I’m appalled with his analysis on this one. She was the sole robber in most of the crimes, directing impacting the security and feelings of safety of the victims. At no time did she ever say she was forced to do anything. Grande, like the judge abs jury, viewed her as a little white girl corrupted by three black men. Meanwhile, she walked into the store alone, with a gun and walked out alone with the loot. How absurd it is to say her 10 years vs her co-conspirators 32!!! years is fair and reasonable. How offensive! I usually agree with Grande but this analysis is wholly disappointing to me. It even offends and angers me
That one inconsistency of not concealing her identity adds legitimacy to her story because naturally their motives are purely self determined as to frame someone else who would be in plain sight thus deflecting attention.
I went to high school with her, played basketball with her and she went to my church. She goes by Abby. She was popular at my high school, a big party girl and was never afraid to break the rules. But I will say, she never bullied me like the other girls did. She always treated me like an equal which was nice. I hate that she has to be remembered like this… her parents are super nice and she was pretty nice also. It just seems like she got caught up with a bad crowd.

He was caught because the friends of one of the victims accessed her social media accounts, set up a fake account and lured him in.
Dear Dr. Grande: To this story I want to share with you my own small story. My son was helping me put together my résumé and there was one line that I didn’t like that he wrote. I said “you know that’s a little too grandiose.” I thought of you and smiled. Thanks for keeping me in a reality check.

In regard to Abigail not wearing a mask, most jewelry stores buzz people in. They want to keep track of how many people enter and how they present themselves. If Abigail showed up at the door in a mask, she wouldn't get buzzed in and the police would surely be called by the store's employees.
SHE was the one who conducted the rest of the robberies. SHE was the one who carried the gun and put her victims lives in danger. But THEY got the heavier sentence! How is that fair?
food for thought. after spending three days in a local jail. i felt like i wanted to help people, because after no longer wanting to offend, i felt good about making positive changes and i felt like my positivity would rub off on other people. i felt that not only would that help the individual, but that it would help others around that person as well.
my mother got arrested two states away from home as a young teen. her two male friends had robbed a bank and she had been the driver. once arrested she cried and claimed she had no idea what the men had planned and was only at the wheel of the car out of stupidity. she received minimal charges and no ultimately no jail time. after my grandparents drove 6 hours and picked her up, she broke down in hysterical laughter explaining she'd known exactly what was going on the whole time. I'm surprised they didn't turn around and bring her back. she went on to live her life as a boring suburban housewife.
Oh, she learned from her earlier crimes, all right - when nabbed, they really threw the book at her - "community service" or dropped charges. The legal system taught her that she was, indeed, protected from any consequences. When one is taught that crime DOES pay, it'd be silly to expect the behavior to stop. And she's still being taught that - she gets ten years for armed robbery, they get three times that for, basically, handling stolen merchandise.
I agree. She has positive reinforcement of the worst kind. I suspect that some of the early judicial leniency was based upon her upbringing in a stable loving home.

He was being sarcastic about the sentences being fair.
That one inconsistency of not concealing her identity adds legitimacy to her story because naturally their motives are purely self determined as to frame someone else who would be in plain sight thus deflecting attention.
Congrats on your sponsorship, Dr Grande!
Awhh the poor poor baby 😢 I hope this all isn’t too hard on the sweet little babe. How unfair for her. 😂
The thing is SHE is the wrong crowd.
Her parents must be so disappointed and mortified.
I guess there are other tools in that shed that may be sharper than this bag of river rocks.
Another wacky person causing havoc. Always plenty of stories to cover!! 🙄Great points at end!! Thanks Dr G😊💚💚
Awesome video, my favorite way to get to my job at a psychiatric hospital is listening to Dr Grande calmly describing the personality traits I will almost inevitably encounter that day 😂
Dr Grande, could you do a video on Khalil Wheeler-Weaver? He was recently sentenced to 160 years for murdering 3 women and attempting to murder a 4th (among many other serious crimes). He used dating sites to meet and trick each of his victims.
He was caught because the friends of one of the victims accessed her social media accounts, set up a fake account and lured him in.
Thank you, as always, Dr. Grande. Looking forward to this video.
Thank you, Dr. Grande. Your videos always come at the perfect time. 💜
Like clockwork!🕰
@@bthomson Exactly ☺️😄
Speculative diagnosis in a situation like this: Three Miles of Bad Road (Not Otherwise Specified).
I'm lost again?
So because she’s an attractive female she was assisted and given a way less sentence
Attractive?!?! No 😂 Just a white woman getting a lenient sentence because white women.
Well if she was on drugs then that would heighten her sense of getting away with it.
Dear Dr. Grande: To this story I want to share with you my own small story. My son was helping me put together my résumé and there was one line that I didn’t like that he wrote. I said “you know that’s a little too grandiose.” I thought of you and smiled. Thanks for keeping me in a reality check.
Quite the prolific little robber!
Somehow I don’t think that she will be getting any time off for good behaviour. Seems like she will be someone who will always starting fights etc.
There is never any honor amongst thieves
Thanks for pointing out valuable lessons that could help people before they do stupid stuff and end up in prison, Dr. G. Unfortunately I’m not confident the ones who need those lessons are watching this channel. 😟
Dr. Grande, I would love to hear your input on the Fatty Arbuckle case. Would you please consider this?
wow totally racist sentencing. you think that's fair she gets 10 years when her accomplices got 30 years for the same crime? that's flawed thinking.
The disparity in sentencing is more likely due to sex rather than race.
@@MrDryqula lol if you think a Black female would have gotten the same sentence you are sadly mistaken. Both race and sex are factors
@@MrDryqula It's both. Why is racial bias hard to believe when you can see that gender bias exists?
@@whosaidthat9265 The disparity between sentences for identical crimes far greater between men and women than between black and white.

Dr Grande great Video. Informative and funny and entertaining. You are master at creating great content.
Excellent analysis Dr. Grande!Thank You!
This makes me ask what she was thinking. Apparently she wasn’t
In regard to Abigail not wearing a mask, most jewelry stores buzz people in. They want to keep track of how many people enter and how they present themselves. If Abigail showed up at the door in a mask, she wouldn't get buzzed in and the police would surely be called by the store's employees.
She does the dirty work, but gets way less jail time.
Next time I'm about to read someone for absolute filth: "Now moving on to my analysis"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good looking girls get away with so much!
Love your videos Dr. grande! I listen to your videos while doing laundry and dishes, stuff around the house. It makes it a lot more interesting!
It does seem odd that the person committing the actual robbery had a much lighter sentence than their lookouts.
Prior records
How about doing a video on Larry Lawton a youtuber and former jewelry store robber.
my mother got arrested two states away from home as a young teen.
her two male friends had robbed a bank and she had been the driver.
once arrested she cried and claimed she had no idea what the men had planned and was only at the wheel of the car out of stupidity.
she received minimal charges and no ultimately no jail time.
after my grandparents drove 6 hours and picked her up, she broke down in hysterical laughter explaining she'd known exactly what was going on the whole time.
I'm surprised they didn't turn around and bring her back.
she went on to live her life as a boring suburban housewife.
When I read the title, I thought he was making a COVID joke. Now I understand, makes more sense.
Oh. Florida.
You should do a video on Martin Bryant and the Port Arthur Massacre!
2nd that request.
Agree! Please make a video @Dr. Tood Grande
You always get my day goin right:) thx doc!!
I can't believe she got off so easy. Very brazen robberies.😳As always thank you for your brilliant analysis Dr Grande! You always deliver!💖💖
She was on a roll.
Why would you turn your friend in when she is just stealing ??? She ain't hurting no one. All that jewelry was insured. That's fucked up. Be a better friend people .
10 years what a joke. 15 years is what she should have got. She committed armed robbery on multiple occasions and had priors, not to mention she stole over 4 million dollars worth of jewelry.
Dr. Todd is so entertaining.
I’m always amazed by the light sentences women tend to get for serious crimes.
It would be interesting if you could cover the recent case of Miya Marcano.
Dr Grande’s deadpan slays me.
