I think the lines "you're frozen, when your heart's not open" mean for me that when something happens in our life and we don't accept it, we got stuck, we're frozen and broken at the same time. We don't want to see what life brings us instead and what's more important what life wants us to share with others. Because our heart's not open. Sometimes it's extremely difficult to open your heart to new reality.

I’ll say what means this song for me based on a experience of mine. “you only see what your eyes want to see, how can life be what you want it to be” for me, those lyrics means that he always saw me as a obsessive, posessive girl and didn’t want anything with me until we met irl and changed his opinion about me because as how he said, I seemed innocent, shy and harmless when I was with him.. NEXT to him.. after he traveled back to Germany, he slowly started to see the old me again.
