It depends on the song.. chiquita's song is about pain and she delivered it well while Harap is kinda r&b vibe that focuses on runs..they all delivers emotion tbh depend on the song like Rora

The air passage is well regulated, the sound is very powerful and it sounds completely like a head voice...
In short it's a falsetto

3. Chiquita has one of the stable voices of all in Baby Monster I can say that 101% surely !! 🤌

Haram vocal is incredible
All of them can sing, and good vocals. But gosh Haram, her unique vocal tone, her singing style, has good techniques and vocal control. Can hit clean high notes. Best Real Singer.

RUKA totally shine in today's episode. IMO, the thing which differentiates PHARITA, CHIQUITA and RUKA from others till now is that they perform like a performer.
They mold themselves into an artist while keeping in mind the true essence of that song and exude an aura and charisma like star.❤❤❤

it'll probably run until episode 10 since there's still another group mission which i'm thinking is an original pre-debut song for them like Going Crazy for Treasure. We still haven't seen them practicing as seven members with choreography + live singing so i'm hoping it's that last one :)

They all did so well, but Haram stands out. Chiquita and Ahyeon are my bias, but Haram's voice was the highlight. Chiquita was awesome, loved her performance (Olivia Rodrigo cover, come on). Ruka was slaying the raps (CL) and dance, but Haram, wow, good job all three. I'm glad Ahyeon changed her song, she is the strongest all around IMO, and she can do anything, so she will kill it next episode.

What i observed Chiquita might not the best in terms of vocals she knows how to deliver Emotions while Haram have one the best vocal in Baby monster no argue her performance was amazing but lacks in emotions. Ruka might not the best in rapping in BM but her delivery and energy is great. Her showmanship is applauding
The song itself isn't about something emotional and It didn't even sound like an emotional song! How does she needs emotions to express this R&B and jazzy vibe!? Please don't compare the performance base on emotions only but also think about what the song sound like

i don't think she lacked emotions at all -- she KILLED it with her dynamics and musicality. The whole message of the song is a strong independent woman who finally breaks out of a toxic relationship, and she definitely did it justice and portrayed her part perfectly. her artistry is absolutely showing through~

I think Haram is more suitable as a solo artist. She will stand out more in solo performances. when she became a girl group Her prominence was diminished.

I think haram will be the leader of the group and the main vocal of the baby monsters and Chiquita is the main dancer and lead vocals. I know they all good but these two is very different yeah.

Lets just support all of them without giving them any 'main' titles. 5 of them r great vocalists with different colours.
I think YG didn't really like Ahyeon's cover of I Did It cause that song originally have 4 rappers on it, 4! It's impossible for her to do every parts. That's why he said she was getting tired towards the end.

I think we can expect around 4-5 more episodes. They have two more missions left group vocal and group vocal/dance mission. After that I believe it’ll be finished and then they’ll announce debut.

Really hope we'll got 7. But knowing YG for many years, still not sure with them haahaa There were lot of famous YG trainees he let go like Chaeyeon of Purple Kiss, Soyeon of Fromis 9 and Seunghoon of CIX.
For Ahyeon, I think YG just wanted her to learn how to balance her talent. YG once said before, its like pouring water into glass, too much will just spoil everything. But Im sure, Ahyeon will remain as well as Chiquita, Ruka, Asa and Rora. For Haram and Pharita, they lack stage presence in terms of group perfs but hopefully, 7 will debut.

Even on her worst day, Chiquita still sounds good. That being said, I do think this was her weakest vocal performance so far. Besides hitting the high note pretty well and having decent emotion, her voice was just a little weak here compared to past performances of hers for me. The good news is she is so young and only going to get better. I also think the Covid weakened her temporarily.

Yes, true. She didn't make excuses and just did her best. This is her weakest performance, and I think it's due to COVID, and her voice didn't come out the way she wanted it. But still, she's admirable. She got so much talent and grit for a kid her age. Amazing.
