- HOBO SHOESTRING.. WHERE ARE YOU? HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? I don't know him besides RUclips and have never met him, but I have seen that he is MISSING and there has been a Silver Alert issued in TN.
(CRIVITZ, WI) I ended up driving to Crivitz, WI on Tuesday, hoping to film a train no matter which direction it was going. After they switched and shunted cars off the main, they took a train north to Wausaukee where they dropped the entire load, then went north with just power. They met up with ELS 501 and a BUNCH of crew trucks on County N just south of Michigan where a derailment happened, again!

Thank you for addressing hobo shoestring being missing this is crazy man no one just walks off the face of the earth pray to God that he makes it back safe
NP. I just didn't want to use him missing as a way to gain views or likes, so thats why I included something in the first minute of the video and short explanation in the description,. I don't know enough to gain the attention he needs.

You have a great channel even if the railroad guys don’t like you. They should realise that you do great work and they should treat you with kindness. I see other RUclips channels all appear that the Train guys treat them with respect. Management should hire you for your work!!! And tell the help not to complain!!!! You show that railroading is hard work at times.
I hope you follow some of the other Railroad RUclipsrs on line.

In the north eastern up we got pretty much only rain. Woke up to about an eighth of an inch and it melted fast when the sun came up.

The snow you are getting we had a few daze ago. Only a coupla inches here but turned to slush as daytime and nite temps rose above freezing.
Perty guud Video today Jason and hope the snow doesnt get ya down. When I was over at KI YRS and YRS ago our last snow fall was memorial day weekend. And being an E Tn person, I know JC Area ok and if he was under mental duress plenty of places to do self harm or get harmed in many ways. and that includes running into bears in the woods. I hope they find him safe and sound PRAYERS are for him.

Search for Hobo, Johnson City, TN near his home this Saturday 4/6/2024 at 9:00 AM their will be a safety meeting at 9:00 AM for volunteers before the search.

Unfortunately I think they will find that Hobo Shoestring walked off his pier and drowned. (It was mention that he has been disoriented )

We got about a foot of the "white death" here in Rhinelander but most of it was melting on the road as it came down and the rest compacted into 6" of super dense blanket. Just got done with 2 1/2 hrs. of sloooow snowblowing. The hobo life is a hard one, my Dad did it for 10yrs. and taught me all of his boarding and disembarking moves. Loss of life is only one slip away. Excellent video, enjoyed it much. Thanks Jason!

Search party being organized for Saturday morning April 6th for Mark Nichols searching the shoreline of the lake behind Mark's Home. Pray they find him OK, after being gone for over a week, I do not like what this could present for his family and friends.
Bottom line, Fix the tracks and track bed, and derailments will stop, so Jason in last 6 months how many derailments, 4 or 5? Thanks for taking time Jason to film this run of ELS, Have an awesome week.
Still cheaper to deal with derailments than to completely overhaul miles and miles of track.

Everyone that makes the comment "fix the track" makes it like it's free, easy and done in a jiffy......
@@Bryanja81 When someone gets hurt, ELS will go bankrupt because of this. I have actually seen something similar in the trucking company. People they need to fix those tracks if they want to stay in business.
@@BudmanPackfan All Class 1 RR's take care of their tracks, But some Short Line RR's because of lack of monies or common sense just let everything "go" until something major happens. Pray that no one gets hurt, or injured severely, cause this will cause more than they expected. So Yes FIX THE TRACKS.

What is the job title of the crew member who pulls the cut levers and aligns the switches? Brakeman? Switch man? Conductor?
Did you see that at 4:15? They cut that car out on the fly! And again at 10:13.

I think that he was upset that his insurance got cancelled and the doctors allways treating him like crap like they do every homeless or veteran or former and hes fed up with it i know he had a gun nobody knows if his gun was found he didn't even have shoes on when he left or nothing 😭 its all had signs of a veteran ptsd unaliving oneself the stats are not in his favor now
