Tinkers 111mph gusts of wind for BMFA EPP60 Pylon Racing

BMFA EPP60 Pylon Racing 2009 at Tinkers Hill Yorkshire, average winds 70 - 80 mph Skirmish recorded a gust at 111mph above 73mph classed as a Hurricane. Main music 'Sailing By' -by Ronald Binge as used on BBC Radio 4 shipping weather forecast 00.50am before close down. The wind made it very dangerous place to be -good job it is grass covered, middle riff from modern rock band.

Blimey, this video is getting enough hits to have an advert attached.
I was there that day and it was rather breezy it has to be said.
One or two of us did fly but it was hard work.
My mate suffered a fractured rib. He was blown over and fell onto his transmitter.
Apart from that, great fun!

top stuff. strongest i've flown in was 40kts with gusts upto 53mph. like others said. would have liked to have seen some flying :D
