She has said her voice is very limited. That she doesn't like most of her early music. That she doesn't like performing. This is all very baffling to me, as I am completely in love with her early music from the 60's and 70's especially. I think her singing voice was wonderful. And I am so happy she made so many performances. I love watching videos of her performing live songs in those first 20 years of her singing career. Maybe I'm crazy but I like most her music before she cut her hair short. She was so beautiful in those years with her long hair. Of course she is beautiful no matter what.

You're not crazy. I've only just found her through recommended videos on RUclips. I'm honestly blown away by her. Just ridiculously talented. She suffers from anxiety and stage fright. My partner suffers so i can relate. Plus she writes mostly all her music. She's fricking awesome. I'm struggling for words for how good she is. 🇫🇷❤

Francoise's voice was unique for its time and her songs were delightful to hear. Simple and to the point without embellishment. She should be proud. As an American, I love to listen to her French. I've read that young people back in her day decided to learn to speak French, because Francoise made it sound sexy.

Can't they reproduce her music with a full orchestra?

Without doubt, one of the most poorly produced artists ever. Great voice, great talent, paired with what sounds like pre-recorded backing tracked played back through a 3" transister radio in an empty warehouse. What I wouldn't have given for the opportunity to produce her...
