    Thanks for the recent videos about life and your career. There are only so many first class reviews that people can do, but telling you personal story will never get old.

    The personal touches on these videos are amazing, and definitely inspire me to share my stories as well as I'm (finally) going on more of these aspirational trips, working a full time job, and doing this on the side!

    I do enjoy specifically your credit card points / loyalty program videos; but generally regarding the content you (and say, Non Stop Dan or Vicarious Voyager) produce, for me, it's more about the vicarious nature of it -- living the travel experiences through your eyes like I am there experiencing it myself.
    It puts me in a good mood.
    And when I can't travel, I like seeing people enjoy travelling luxuriously while they share tips for doing so.
    Spread the knowledge.
    Plus, it gives me ideas for planning my own travel experiences.

    Thank you so much for sharing that! Excellent content, camera work and editing. I worked as a camera person, air switcher and master controller for a small tv station and loved it.

    There are some Japanese youtubers who make travel videos where they never show their face and never talk. They film in in such as way that you feel as if you are in the video and experiencing the first class flight they are taking. Sometimes I like to watch these just to relax.

    Great video and some even better insights -- I think this is one of the biggest "mysteries" around aviation content for most viewers

    Great video Ricky - I did math/stats at UofT as well and this is helpful for those of us exploring content creation as a real path forward. Also loving this storytime format - I've been watching for a while and always enjoy the non-review parts of your videos 😎

    This was a great video! Kind of a BTS look at what you do. I’ve been following you as “the prince of travel” for many years before I found your RUclips. My bigger question is…. How do you learn the business side of this? Like…how do you learn how to get affiliate links, find advertisers for support, etc. did you go to college? Do you have a MBA? What degrees would you think helpful in doing what you do. I’ve gotta admit, I’m jealous. I’m a physician, with dual board certifications. I worked hard, but know nothing of the business side of medicine. Your job is waaaaaaay better! Thanks for all the content. I just booked some rooms in Qatar for F1 this year, based on your price of travel hotel reviews there.

      These are great questions. I plan to share more on the "how to learn" side and the behind the scenes in the future, so stay tuned 😀

    Really appreciating all the lessons you’re including in your video, I think theyre super valuable for creators and viewers.
    Going back to Professionalizing your brand. Whats the best way to hire an editor for your videos? I ask because I’m starting to realize that editing burns so much of my time and has been difficult to increase output with a 9-5 job as well.
    My current idea is to try out different editors on Upwork and finding one I can work with longterm. Thanks for your thoughts!

    • @_Ricky
      @_Ricky  День назад +1

      Yes, finding an editor who's a good long-term can be a real challenge, as I've found over the course of my career. Your plan sounds like a good one, I would say it's important to be upfront about the fact that you're looking for someone who can work with you for a long time, and also to search for someone who has a similar intuitive grasp of your editing and storytelling style as yourself. After that, it's about giving clear feedback and assessing the editor based on how quickly they can absorb your feedback (i.e., implement a certain style and keep it going without you having to remind them). It can be a long process with a fair bit of trial and error, though, so if you find that that's the case just keep in mind that it isn't out of the ordinary!

    • @__withMark
      @__withMark День назад

      @_Ricky Really appreciate it! Will keep this in mind during my search and may have already found someone surprisingly quickly who’s done lots of the things you said to search for
