All looks wonderful. Sounds like you’re not sure about the Norwegian brunost (brown cheese) though! At first I thought it was a strange cheese, too, but then I started to think of it as type of caramel and came to love it! :-) It is basically caramelized goat milk, I believe. I hope you keep having good and safe travels … and thanks for sharing with us!
It's not "bad," John, just different. Thanks so much for your time to view and the nice comment. I hope you too are well and safe. Very best to you, Sheila 😍
Thanks so much, Robin. This was basically a one-nighter but really have to return and spend more time (other than the 2 Hurtigruten Coastal voyages taken previously). Appreciate your time to view and comment and hope all is well with you and yours. Regards, Sheila 😍
Was the buffet for breakfast extra charge or was it included in the price of your room? You seem to travel extensively in scandinavia. Is it your favorite part of the world to travel? Is it your favorite place to cruise?
The buffet was extra charge, Aimee, because we used a combo Radisson points + money. Latest travel around Scandinavia is a matter of coincidence (though do like this-part of the world). Was supposed to take Hurtigruten cruise in January from Hamburg-Norway, cancelled because US citizens couldn't travel to Norway then; so booked Finland to see Northern Lights and moved Hurtigruten cruise money to this cruise. Covid related travel cancellations are still ongoing. Yikes. 😱
They are two different animals, Warren. For example, this Hurtigruten used zodiacs to get into small Scottish Isles that Viking could not. It all depends what kind of itinerary you are interested in! Best to you, Sheila 😍
@@SheilaSimkin I’m talking about excursions in Norway Is smell better than Luxury? Is Viking’s limits better than H’s smallness? We are 70 But still active Nature, history, culture Are more important than food But I enjoy local cuisine and music
@@warrenwolf4690 This is difficult to answer because I think the only way to get what you want is arrange a PRIVATE tour. I typically wander away from all walking tours because: they move too slow, and/or uninteresting. So for that reason, neither is better than the other. We do usually take an included bus tour if we've never visited a locale to get an idea of what's available. Hurtigruten coastal voyages do not include tours and only booked dog sledding (very expensive dog sledding that was worth every NOK and sells out on every voyage). Everything else is basically walking distance from dock. Look at itineraries, then tours offered (don't need to book to see them on both websites) and see if anything piques your interest. Please don't hesitate to ask more questions if I can help. Regards, Sheila 😍 (We have another upcoming Nordic cruise and I really want to visit Munch Museum by ourselves.)
@@jf6395 Got it and agree with you. Saw others at the buffet doing exactly the same thing. I remember eons ago staying at a hotel in Gstaad (hiking) and I made sandwiches daily from the buffet. When we checked out, owner gave me a bill for sandwiches 😱 which I refused to pay! Can you imagine? Best to you, Sheila 😍
Thanks for the video. Can't wait to stay at Radisson Blu Bergen this fall.
Thanks so much for your time to view and comment. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy the hotel! Best to you, Sheila 😍

Velkommen til Norge! ❤️

Yes, bathroom envy I had when I saw that one! 🤣🤣🤣
Two things stop me. Lack of money and the thought of going to a tile store and actually making a decision. So not good at that! 😱

that's a pack a lunch buffet, just saying
Are you referring J F to my dinner "complaints"? Breakfast? Whichever, I appreciate your time to view and comment. Very much to you, Sheila 😍
