From ESPN (so take it fwiw lol!): He [Cade McNamara] wrote on X that he intends to play in Iowa's regular-season finale Nov. 29 at home against Nebraska.
@@ilikecheeseburger42 The only way we get OU is to go to the music city bowl (oddly our last bowl appearance.) and as of now we'd play Ole Miss. Every other bowl (pinstripe, duke mayo bowl, rate bowl) have us playing ACC or Big12.
Nebraska had a 35 season straight of bowls starting in 1969. Loved the game. I do mean epic giving what we have seen. Yes (7-5), Yes, & Oklahoma and not really, not this year.
Since Huskers fans travel well to a bowl game in a year when bowling is the norm, attendance by the faithful should be huge since we haven't been for 8 years. It would be easy to think that the Citrus Bowl officials or other non-playoff significant bowl would be salivating over the possibility of packing their stadium and boosting the local hospitality economy. Besides, the Huskers are historically used to playing in bowl games against teams ranked significantly higher than them, mainly since the following is substantial. Embrace this opportunity! GBR
If we beat iowa, we'll probably be treated like an 8 win team. But, we have to beat Iowa first. Either way, bowl games will value Nebraska and the fans that we'll bring.
A win would be huge for Nebraska, but another month of practice and getting the young guys some exposure in the bowl game will go miles for recruiting and the young guys!
Nebraska needs to run plays away from defenders. Nebraska needs to force Iowa to punt on a lot of the Iowa drives.. Nebraska needs to play a team that they can beat. In a 2025 bowl game if Nebraska is a great team then they can play a great team.
Bright side any bowl host is licking their chops for Nebraska just for the dolla dolla bills involved lol! I’m good for any bowl this year but next year I want a good one or cfp
Honestly in the last 20+ years, kids are playing sports earlier and longer than athletes prior to that time. They have more hours of practice and games on their joints, while the joints are still developing, than prior athletes did. I feel this has led to more injuries and repeated injuries. Just my opinion.
so happy for the 6th win and a bowl game, but come on any bowl except for the pinstripe bowl in New York City, what a s++t hole..... Ford field and Detroit is exponentially better location.....
Well getting into what I think of as a good bowl game is not going to happen until we are at least only a 2 loss a season team. I do not like that most teams get into a bowl game that are only 6 win teams. I remember when there were what 5 bowl games a year. Maybe there were more but only the top teams use to get invited to the very few bowl games there were. The team looked like they played their best game of the year against Wis. Not sure if the Wis game was an anomaly or real improvement yet. So we will see what happens against Iowa. And I think there is a better chance we lose to Iowa unless they have a lot of people hurt and not playing and well we will be put up against a better team than we have played all season in the bowl.
All your saying may be true, but it's about more than just the bowl. It's about the practices the team will get. The young team with the young star players. This is a huge building block for the future.
Its too bad Aiden Mana'tai chose to go to Cal football game instead of our game against Wisconsin last second....also Cortez Mills didn't make the trip either...not sure that bodes well for either guy at least from the outside looking in
Sark does this every year with 1 player having them hold off their commit. They did it last class with Kobe Black and Michael Terry is it this 24 class. He’s already told many players and coaches he’s coming to Texas.
@@rickmoore4776 Having fans that travel to any bowl game anywhere like a gigantic cloud of red locusts, gobbling up every spare seat in a stadium and every hotel and motel room in town really helps.
Worst case scenario, we’re 6-6, with a Top 20 recruiting class. Will Nebraska finish with a Top 15 class & a good bowl?! CarrikerChronicles.com

You know, as a fan from China, staying up late and waking up in the middle of the night to watch games - Finally, I get to watch a bowl game!
I’m surprised glorious leader lets you watch football! Just kidding, when I was overseas I had to do the same thing. It was rough.

Just beat Iowa. I heard Nebraska may be treated like an 8 win team when it comes to bowl selection.
I’m hoping we get Oklahoma in someplace warm 😅
I really don't want to get matched up with a team that will kill us so hope not

Let's get thru Iowa first. Doesn't matter which bowl, or what team.. we're going bowling.
Nebraska in a bowl game has to play to win.
None of this just happy to be in a bowl game.
This game was awesome, I think it shows what to come
15 to 17 is gonna be deadly the next few years
Keep Holgerson, It's a no brainer.
What a game!! I haven't been so excited during a game since the 1995 Oklahoma game!
THAT WAS A GUUD ONE
Good stuff man! Let’s end this season 8-5!!!
Bring the offense we saw against Wisconsin. Load up to stop the run and dare their 3rd string backup QB to beat you throwing. We stop the run, we win.
100% agree
I'd put 12 men in the box to stop the run vs Iowa.
I really hope we get matched up against Oklahoma in the bowl game.

I kind of thought Matt Rhule was a Holgorsen type of coach. I don't care who helps, as long as we win.
Parity in college football is real !
If Nebraska stops the run they will boat roll Iowa
1. yes 2. yes 3. idc which bowl they make, but I'd love to see them play Oklahoma for the bowl.

This game always ends up being the most important game of the year every year. I have too many friends that live in Iowa.
I heard either the Rate Bowl in Phoenix or the Mayo Bowl in Charlotte
Nebraska is always “just wait… “, but 4 or more losses for 20 years! Maybe, someday… Hope springs eternally!
The portal is probably more important than the recruiting class. Look no further than Indiana
I agree to a point, don't forget, Florida State was also built through the portal.
Then again Florida State's 2024 recruitng class was ranked 11th
