I like the video because it's hasn't got commentary and doesn't concentrate on the major sites of the city. It was a nice quiet wonder around the real city and I found it very relaxing
I wasn't aware of the alley behind barclays bank linking Southgate to Westgate Street. How can I not know this? Must have been gated off and now open. I'll go look although hardly ever go in the city now.
It depends on the kind of jobs you are looking for. There are jobs in the healthcare sector and construction. Expenses are ok, it’s within the average, compared to some expensive areas.
@@SamuelRex Thanks much are you maybe on Instagram? I never disturb only to ask respectfully If you cannot I understand nd thanks much for Ur beautiful videos Always!!!!!
I think you have watched a different video mate or you were watching a video on Cheltenham City or Worcester and accidentally commented on this insteadm
The Jobs are quite decent, It's not safe at night but during the day its okay in main areas (Town, parks, housing areas) theres lgbt festivals at the main park every year so many people are very open about their relationships and opinions.
I’m sorry, but if you have limited knowledge and are not an historian I can’t see the point of this video. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. I always welcome constructive criticism of my photography and filming. That way I can improve.
I welcome criticism. But What I do is walking tours, I bring the viewers with me to see places while they sit comfortably at home. I let the video do the talking. It’s a niche on RUclips and there are so many other Vloggers that do the same niche, it’s a form of distraction therapy as well as Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). There are genre of videos intended to induce ASMR and has over 15 million of which had been published on RUclips. There are historians like Anne Bartlett and other who do proper film documentaries about the cotswolds.
I think the point of these kind of videos are that it gives the viewer a realistic view of the city or town that is filmed. It is almost like you are there yourself. I myself actually live in the United States, and was curious what downtown Gloucester looked like, as I have a friend who lives there. This video didn't just show the "pretty" parts, but gave me a more realistic view. Thanks so much!
@SamuelRex are you familiar with Wondering Thomas? He does a lot of similar videos of Dutch cities, and in particular of my hometown of Amersfoort, where I am originally from. Now living in the States, I love to go watch his videos, because it just make me feel like I am there, so very similar to your videos, so keep up the good work!
Hi Samual. I respect the fact that you are interested enough to go out and have a walk with a camera. But, I reiterate my earlier comments. To make a proper video or to take good photographs takes time and effort. Sadly, almost everyone appears to have a smart phone nowadays and most think all you need to do is point and shoot without thinking about the result. Pointing and shooting is fine for your own and family pleasure but not for public consumption. Surely the number of “likes” you have says it all. I hope you don’t think I am being rude but I have been doing audio/ visual and photography for many years and I hope I have gained a little knowledge along the way that I can, hopefully, pass this on. I watched your video of Oxstall’s campus. At least you had narration but the audio was spoiled by the wind noise. It’s worthwhile getting a wind muffler, known colloquially as a “dead cat”. I’m nowhere near perfect and am still learning every day. I am local to Gloucester and the Cotswolds so I can see where you are but if I were a stranger I wouldn’t be tempted to visit. Sorry!
I was using just a phone and gimble on the Oxstall campus video, I had to buy a new kit that comes with a dead cat mic. Thanks for the tips I ll put that into consideration when I do such videos next time.
I am glad you are not a mentor or teacher, constructive criticism is good but there is an undercurrent of negitivity eg. "If you look at the amount of likes " etc not balanced with the positive feedback in comments. One would think you were being led by your ego as a proffesional. Feedback like this could put someone less confident off their step. @samualrex
One of the most disappointing - and insensitive - films I have ever seen. Only one tiny glimpse of our wonderful cathedral. If you blinked you missed it. Lots of shots of rubbish bins. Alleyways, boarding, shops you can see in any town. The camera walked straight past the clock with the striking figures: for goodness’ sake, please take down this video and start again. Incidentally, the cathedral will be a thousand years old later this century. It has survived wars and sieges. Please give it some respect.
If you ask nicely I ll do a video for you on special request. I am sure this video is not the only video I’ve made in Gloucester. In fact I have a video dedicated to the cathedral alone so if you are interested in viewing it just search.
I stopped giving commentaries on my videos so I don’t misinform people, as I am not a historian, so have limited knowledge about the city. I would add more written descriptions base on what’s out there on the video later.

That is exactly my aim and I am glad you enjoyed it. Some has complained that I don’t give commentaries. Thanks once again
Loved your video. It really felt like walking through the streets. 😁

Are you ok now??😂

@@stevenperkins-p5x recently, as little as 25 years ago. St Peter's Abbey used to be an amazing place.

It’s always been there, it was Nick named the piss alley. You will have to pay enough attention to notice it as it’s kind of hidden out of site.
Nice video
Thanks Andrew
May I ask you PLS If Its easy to find a steady job in this beautiful city and If the life in general Is expensive there? Thanks much
