I love the Maxwell car skin. And now I'm just imagining it overlaying the Rally or Desert car, so that when it two-wheels, it looks like it's tipping over and doing his little rocking dance. _The custom horn sound better be the Maxwell the Cat theme, too, or so help me..._
This time trial style racing is quite common with old timer rallies. Assistance with time taking is not allowed, you gotta go by feel and your speedometer and youa re not allowed to go slower than a certain speed I think.
I always enjoy watching ya, but this comp actually looks like something more “doable” for everybody, including newer players. Would love to see more of it. As for example myself played spring season this year a little bit (first time ever) but had troubles understanding the best racing lines. However here you don’t specifically need those. Interesting for sure
Interpolation is just the method used to numerically approximate a value between 2 other values. So here I'm guessing the game knows the hundredths of when the car has and hasn't passed the finish line and it then calculates thousandths by running numerical approximations either using how much of the car has passed the line or the speed of the car.
