don't forget to run that motor for 15 min or so with the zerk fitting out to allow the grease to expand properly, then reinstall when grease stops leaking out. we see too many times our maint crew over greases motors causing bearing temps to skyrocket. most manufactures say to do that as well.

What if there is no grease plug to release the old grease? does that mean its a sealed bearing?

I genuinely had no idea that there was a cap you could take off to take out all the old grease. WOW!

Most of the manufacturers are recommending to grease the motor, while it is running, thus allowing the grease to properly distribute. Grease amount on the standstill motor is usually smaller. What would you do if the grease is not coming out from the outlet port? I've seen many times motors greased from the box as per maker recommendations and the grease simply didn't come out at all. During the time grease in the bearing is compacted so much, that you have no chance to push it out at all.

Should you use the same grease on the front bearings as well?

The majority of the motors have a grease fitting but no cap in the bottom to remove the old grease. Is there a way to convert them to be greasable?

Some motors may not have tradable bearings even though a grease zert is installed. Not having a grease drain plug can be an indication of this. Best way to be sure would be to contact the manufacturer rep with the motor M#&S#.

You could just weigh the grease that comes out per pump of the gun.

Also...not related to this video exactly....but plays an important role is......proper alignment of pulleys....so not to put added stress on the bearings

      And belt tension

In greasing small and huge motors sir what is the best interval every two months or every 4 monhts ?

Umm.... what if they are sealed bearings ?...where does the grease go ?...🤣

@@MechanicalPros yes.... and most motors have sealed bearings, why do motor manufacturers continue to put grease zurks on these motors ? My teacher in Tech school you should never grease motors. That was back in the 90s.
