I noticed it immediately when I seen the statues. The stage landscape also reminds me of the first stage from AB.

In my opinion I liked the 4.0 version a little better it was way more catchier but this is amazing too defo would listen to this a bunch of times
I only hope the act lasts as long as the song.
... something that bothers me when playing classic Sonic are the jingles that interrupt, or worse, restart the act soundtrack. Jingles like 1up, invincibility, Super Sonic and speed shoes (fast act music is fine)

It's good but has absolutely nothing on act 2
I would love to play this stage as shadow but that shadow full speed Sprite animation makes me cringe just a copy paste of espio but I'm not developing the game so I can't complain to much just like his 5.0 skate animation better.
It’s intentionally made to be a reference to Espio in the exact same way that mania references it’s multiple prior animations through different characters. (Hence Mighty’s idle animation) Additionally it seemed odd and redundant to use stuff like shadows usual hovering boost, since it’s primarily used in modern games while megamix takes most of its inspiration from adventure, so having shadow skate instead of float made much more sense in that regard. The animation however. will be changed in the future but it will most likely stay similar.
@@troopsushi I think it looks great! It should stay the Espio reference in my opinion. But, that's just me.
