No one will even look at artists like Rapsody, Tierra Whack, Snow Tha Product, Sa-Roc or Wynne. Every time I’ve heard someone take on this topic they do the exact same thing: they just list random female rappers. The issue is the elephant in the room is being ignored. If female rap goes back to being largely unsuccessful financially in the mainstream these labels will eventually stop investing money in the music and will switch to pop or country music which is being projected to become mainstream again. No matter how many times their names are mentioned their streams and sales aren’t budging 💀
Armani Caesar is really dope and she’s the first lady of Griselda. Her lyrics are pretty sexual but she has the cadence of Kim in the 90s. I never really hear people talk about her tho, and the only people who seem to be hip to her music are Griselda fans.
Definitely underrated. Between her and her Che Noir they're reintroducing the golden era to ladies. High level rap! The guys are hip but they definitely need the recognition from women to gain main stream
I can see doechi blowing up more now she’s even getting big pop collabs with Katy Perry . That’s crazy and we know going pop catapults an artist. I think it’s an absolute crime artist like dreezy she still not big and been putting in work for years.
