I could listen to him all day long, with that calming voice.

Two years after a tkr my patella catches to the implants making a loud noise with a slight pain but my ortho dr said because i have a very thin patella due to a staph infection i had and no implant on my patella that that’s why the knee cap pops like that but i also get loud pops like that

I had clucking with my first TKR at about 5 months and now it’s suddenly happened with the second one at the same time! I know it went away last time so I’m not worried. I’m doing tai chi, barre fitness and the gym and swimming! I’m just assuming it’s ok!

I am 13 months post op of total knee replacement, the clunking noise has been apparent from day l came home. Pt therapist said that not abnormal and would go way. 4 weeks post op orthopedic surgeon says it’s plastic on metal, what kind of response is that…Had probably 5 follow up appointments with surgeon and the clunking noise has become louder and knee unstable , lateral movement. Surgeon response is too much lateral movement. Knee becomes swollen and stiff with in correlation to activity. Have had second opinion possible stretch of ligament and improper size of shim, all post operation x rays show proper alignment. Consider myself pretty fit for 70 years old, was working as a carpenter up until surgery 13 months ago and hoped to back to working ago but getting up and down a problem because of swelling and tightness. Can u recommend a surgeon who specializes in in revisions in Dayton metropolitan area

I’ve had the clunking. It’s a strange feeling, it doesn’t hurt and it goes away again. It may come back at a later date but then it goes again. If you’re getting pain then go back to your doctor, but if there’s no pain then just try to ignore it .

I received a total knee replacement because my patella would klunk and dislocate. Extremely painful. I learned to associate the klunk with the pain. Now, one week out from TNR, every time I feel the klunk, I flinch and expect the worst. The new knee klunk does not dislocate, but I worry.
