- Today in Roses in the Garden 2024, a review of the spring rose garden. Condition of roses in spring and the first rose buds.
It's still very cold here and the roses haven't had time to bloom yet. But this will happen very, very soon. Can not wait.

It's always exciting when the first flower appears. Some of my Roses have lots of buds and others have none. Let's hope the weather warms up for them and for us too.

Lovely Dilly. I’m glad you say blind stems because I’m seeing the same. Also I’m seeing lots of stems with just one bud on this year. I think this is perhaps all connected with the cold weather, a mild winter to give us the ridiculously early foliage but the low temps now maybe those buds don’t want to open or mulitply. I may be wrong of course. But always good to see your garden. And well done for having a rose. another to beat me to it ;)

Low temp, weeping spring, cold nights - no chance for new shoots to develop ( Hopefully soon gonna be warmer ☀️ Thank you very much for your kind words!
