love the way pavement play their tinny guitars and make beautiful songs
This is one of the most inspiring videos I've ever seen
This is so freaking excellent. It sounds like an early version- I especially like the "drugs inside your compact" line.
Does anybody have the version where he goes “you are a sprite drinker, and i am partial to coca cola”?
this has to be one of my favorite songs.
This is great. Where and when was this?
Man I would kill to have been there, when/where was it? Thanks for posting this, its a great version. I've been playing guitar for 10 years and I can't get my head around Malkmus' style at all!
listen a real lot o blues
You can hear a little "Spit On A Stranger" working into this version (i.e. 0:40). Or maybe not....
Which concert was this?
08/13/98 Mr. T's Bowl, Highland Park, CA - this was the second of SM's solo acoustic shows in 98'.
He's sitting on his arse developing a great song in front of total strangers. The guy's annoyingly great.
i love malk and all, but i would, like, leave the coffee shop if i was witnessing this by a nobody ;-)
