STORMY 🌧️ 💨 💧DISNEYLAND WALK THROUGH IN WORST RAIN OF THE YEAR | 2023

- On January 10, 2023, we got to experience something that is fairly uncommon... Disneyland in a storm. And not just any storm, but reportedly the worst weather to hit California in the last twelve years. We start our tour walking down Main Street USA, where we get to admire the shops glistening in the rain. You may have noticed the Holiday decorations are still up during what should be the transitionary period, allowing us to enjoy them for just a bit longer. As we approach the castle we get to experience firsthand just how bad this storm really is, and you may catch glimpses of my umbrella being pulled into the air by the wind. We make our way towards Adventureland, fighting the sideways rain as we go along. Because of refurbishments in Indiana Jones, we are unable to pass through, so we double back and press onward through Frontierland. Here we take a moment to admire the raindrops hitting the Rivers of America, and we hope you enjoy this too. As we navigate through New Orleans Square and Critter Country, we are anxiously awaiting the immersive experience of entering Galaxy's Edge. There is just something about experiencing this land in the rain, and while the rain starts to ease up at this point, it's still a unique experience. We see less rain in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, but the storm has left it's mark and the reflections of Disneyland on various puddles is a sight in itself. Perfection. If you get the opportunity, you should consider doing one of these at dusk. The way the lights reflect off the water soaked streets as the rain falls is truly intoxicating.
That sounds absolutely amazing. Disney at dusk is magical in itself, but this sounds so so beautiful. Thanks for that tip- definitely going to keep this in mind the next time we get a good soaking.

I just kept thinking those plants were so happy to get a good soaking and all of the buildings and sidewalks got a good washing in and around Disneyland.

Yes it’s crazy it’s still being suggested. It was my first video ever. I think I will watch it tonight to wind down and get ready for bed. I was reading El Niño is coming this winter to it’s going to be extremely rainy. Hopefully I can get a few more rain walks for us rain lovers 🌧️ 🩵

@@steppingintomagic Disneyland in the rain is AWESOME, especially when the sun comes out for a few hours and you get crystal clear blue sky with puddles reflecting the 'mountains'. Love it.

It was! Seems like moderate to hard rain (even for Cali) sends a good amount of people indoors or just home.
Are many of the rides closed on rainy days? Not even worth going to UK parks on a rainy day as so many are shut >.>
Usually during the rain, you can count on jungle cruise, big thunder mountain, dumbo, carousel, tea cups, story book, Casey jr, gadget coaster, Astro orbiter, and probably the Matterhorn to be closed. Thank you so much for watching! The UK is amazing. I watch walking tours of London quite often.
i keep wondering why the people do not go eat. the rain usually stops w in an hour
So true. I think anything more than a drizzle really affects most people. Grabbing a bite to eat and waiting it out is a great suggestion.

hard to believe this rain was coming down this hard in Anaheim, California, right??? But it was! And was so nice. Def not what you would expect in CA…looks more like Florida with this storm lol

@@trufan100 I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it doesn’t rain too hard and ruin your day. Remember to pack your ponchos. Unfortunately if it does rain a few rides and attractions may be closed such as the tea cups, story book land, dumbo, parades, and fireworks. Hoping for the best!!!
