One of TLT’s MLP songs is “Discord” which last time I checked is a song that nearly everyone can recognize. You never actually explained how it became the theme song other than just pointing out that it has the most views. TLT’s FNAF 1 song is one of the few videos Scott commented on. The Showtime song (and by extension, the Neon mode’s theme) in Help Wanted have a motif from part of the song. Also, theme song is inaccurate, it’s more-so of an anthem. Toreador March can be seen as FNAF’s theme song, as it was featured in the trailers.
Personally I don't think so. Many see it as a theme song. Lots of people didn't even know it was fan made and thought it was official. It feels more of a theme song than an anthem. Well, unless you're an animatronic. It's the theme for the franchise and the fandom altogether. Anthem feels like the wrong word to describe it.
@@ninkepie3764 The Super Mario Bros. theme is seen as the anthem of videogames, so I don’t see many differences between calling that an anthem and calling the FNAF 1 song an anthem.

There's a lot more to the MLP part of his history that he's essentially erased: he didn't JUST do remixes, he did original songs for MLP too. In fact he was part of several very talented artists making original songs/remixes for MLP. Many MLP muscians, that use to once only make fanmade content for the show are not only featured/shown in this video (his peers/friends btw): the living tombstone was only one of many to make an actual career due to MLP outside of youtube. In fact Tombstone, nor the other youtubers, did not pivot to video games{/his disney remix of spooky scary skeleton] initially. He did those alongside the MLP songs he continued to put out. It's...honestly really a shame this video portrays it as nothing more than a "rough start" when these creators would literally not be here if they didn't give that show that spawned more creativity than I have ever seen anything spawn a chance, and its equally a shame those videos are erased from his channel due to this viewpoint. That community has essentially set the standard for modern fanbases, that we haven't really seen since the star trek days (they were just about the only fandom with an active/dedicated sub fandom in tons of creative outlets). All our roots are important, and if not for the MLP community enjoying video games so much/loving to crossover MLP with everything (including a big subset that crossovered with FNAF making it very popular within the MLP community) the artist would not be here. Credit where credit is due is important, even if you don't like the source content/can't understand why someone would. Personally: I like it all and I think any fan of his would if they only gave it a chance.
What? I didn't know that MLP stuff had been erased from TLT's channel! That sucks, it was where I knew them from. I still think of them as 'MLP fan music creators', and it's amazing to think about all the things they're doing now. To hear that it's mostly just gone, and the negativity towards it is quite saddening.
A happy correction: it seems they are currently available to see on the channel, I double checked (that’s on me), but I do distinctly remember him being one of the MLP artists that buried that history by either deleting the videos or unlisting them. It’s possible that changed rather quickly but I also remember the comments of FNAF fans saying it’s a shame he wastes his talents on MLP when he could be making real good music like that first FNAF song… I still think of them as MLP fan musicians too and I don’t think they should feel bad about it. It’s amazing to see them succeeding still and I’m happy for them. I may not be a brony anymore but my time in the good part of the fandom are memories I cherish. I’m not gonna be ashamed of that and I still enjoy drawing fanart today. We all start somewhere, and beginnings are important. : )

Fun Fact: Yuav actually composed for portal: the flash version map pack. (portal the flash version map pack went on to become portal: Still alive but his tracks were not included in still alive.)
I grew up with The Living Tombstone, since Elementary (im now 18) and I knew him at first for his MLP songs cause I was a huge MLP fan and then getting into Fnaf 1 when it first came out and saw his song, I loved him ever since. (Im def not surprised he made remixes for MLP because I been there since day one less goo)
i am a very old fan of the living tombstone i’ve been around when he only made my little pony remixes the whole “zero to hero” thing is an understatement kinda yuav was pretty popular within the my little pony fanbase and brushing it off as a complete “rough start” undermines the talent he had from the beginning
I give you an "A" for hyping up TLT and their channel! Nice bit of story and love the enthusiasm. Afraid I have to give a "D+" for explaining your title. It was a decent history lesson, but gives no actual reasons for why this is considered to be the "theme song" of FNaF.
Bruh the way this guy's like "He did MLP music, THENN he did cool popular stuff and popped off" let's be honest, Discord's an iconic bop don't @ me LMAOO
2:39 "I'm as surprised as you are" I'm not surprised, the mlp fanbase, especially it's musical fans, are constantly putting put A+ music, and by now they've all at least tested the waters with other franchises and genres
The fact that the decision Yoav made: "hmmmm lets make a winter wrap up remix" has led him and TLT to where it is today is beyond surreal. I'm forever greatful for the golden age of 2013 that led him down this path
It still surprises me that there were people who didn't know TLT started off with a lot of pony stuff before making the switch. Used to listen to him before the FNAF even came out.
Apparently, Scott has said that the song by TLT, even back then, was pretty spot on. For The first game and lore he’d planed for the story, and the film many years later. He’d even based much of the movie’s plot around the lyrics. The theme song even plays on the credits. Scott must love the song as much as the fans. It’s so catchy!
"despite it's MLP beginnings" Me who still liked the song Discord to this day because it sounds great: Also, I've come back to fnaf at least two or three times now, and hearing about the movie has gotten me quite excited! I really am hoping we get to hear their music in the movie, and even if that doesn't happen, I know it will still be a great movie.
I've being listening to their songs ever since they made MLP music. Since I was a brony back than. And it's so awesome to see how far they've come. I hope they continue to make more songs.
TLT is a underrated hell of a gem, they make absolute bangers 99% of the time and i definitely recommend a listen to their albums and ost for In Sound Mind
You’d be surprised how many covers and remixes of this song there is. Dozens of people have put their own spin on this song. It’s practically the theme song of the games. The first game, the whole franchise.
Also Yoav made music for Portal Mod called Portal Flash Version Map Pack, which was a remake made by the original creator of Flash Version of Portal. This Map Pack was later included in XBox exclusive Portal Still Alive being a version of portal with exclusive challange maps, being the ones from the Map Pack. Later on this project allowed to move Portal 2 development to right direction. So in a way, Yoav helped save Portal franchise and the fact that he was involved in it is crazy.

idk why the My Little Pony part was surprising to you. Some of the actual MLP songs were surprisingly good as well such as "Open Up Your Eyes"

Dudes music has followed me since I first used youtube all the way till now ^^
I actually heard the song first when it came out, and that made me want to check out the game! So I can honestly credit the living tombstone with jump starting my entire FNAF phase growing up

I will say it’s sort of disappointing to see the lack of journalistic integrity towards Living Tombstone’s early career. His influence and talent within the “brony” community and how it bolstered his and everyone else’s creativity and talents cannot be understated. You would’ve done well to do more research into this era of his life, and how he would not NEARLY be the successful man he is without it.

You gotta put respect on mlp’s name bro those fnaf songs would have never gotten nearly as popular if it werent for his dedicated fanbase from his straight FIRE mlp videos. Seriously those songs carried early mlp fandom!! They were hella good
The fnaf melody was actually copied completly from George Bizet March of the Toreadors who died thinking he was a failure and that nobody liked his song.. And then just for the funny bear to steal it.
If you think about it, the melody couldn’t be stolen due to the royalties being outdated, plus you cant blame Scott for stealing anything when his previous work was literally Christian friendly games before he had his own backlash and criticism to then which created fnaf, not trying to put down your opinion but just informing just how the way things work, the jump scares in the first game was literally from a movie that higher pitched.

Also, theme song is inaccurate, it’s more-so of an anthem. Toreador March can be seen as FNAF’s theme song, as it was featured in the trailers.
Finally, somebody said it
Personally I don't think so.
@@Sean-qg3gg
Yeah, it's seen as the anthem of video games because it can't actually be a Theme to all video games, when it's specifically made for super Mario. Yet, you call it an anthem for all video games, and not an anthem for super Mario.
Same way I view this song. It's a theme. That just my opinion. Anthem is the wrong word.
@@ninkepie3764 We’re talking about a community’s conclusions, not a single opinion of your’s or mine. People wanna call the SMB theme videogaming’s anthem, not just Mario’s anthem.
So glad that they played it in the credits, the entire theater was hyped
I absolutely love this video and the amount of research put into this holy crap, how has this video not blown up!? Keep on going dude!
Pretty sure it did lmao
read more of the comment sectin, its actually very biased and he got a lot of facts wrong :/
@@AxolotlQueen really? Damn
@@carrotman7354 spooky scary skeletons blew up the second it dropped and was massively popular in 2015-16, my ordinary life is a nichijou fan song that samples a lot from the show and the question in the title was never addressed.
As someone who's been a TLT fan since the mlp days, I never get tired of their story.
He was actually already massive in the brony fandom, he was only going upwards from that point onward.
Super true, it may have been his starting point but he was already a very big name back in the day to certain groups
Even if they accidentally made it, it still is a banger.
I think the end credits will absolutely contain some popular fan song. My best bet is also probably the FNaF song
I’m hoping what they do is a mashup remix
@@analogapotheosis4275 creative. I wonder how that would turn out
There's a lot more to the MLP part of his history that he's essentially erased: he didn't JUST do remixes, he did original songs for MLP too.
It’s possible that changed rather quickly but I also remember the comments of FNAF fans saying it’s a shame he wastes his talents on MLP when he could be making real good music like that first FNAF song…
I still think of them as MLP fan musicians too and I don’t think they should feel bad about it. It’s amazing to see them succeeding still and I’m happy for them. I may not be a brony anymore but my time in the good part of the fandom are memories I cherish. I’m not gonna be ashamed of that and I still enjoy drawing fanart today. We all start somewhere, and beginnings are important. : )
I love TLT. I even love their original songs that aren’t from video games. TLT is just amazing!
TLT came so far that they now have already done official music for games. Its crazy to think I first saw the original FnaF 1 song
Lyrics:
We're waiting every night
To finally roam and invite
Newcomers to play with us
For many years we've been all alone
We're forced to be still and play
The same songs we've known since that day
An imposter took our life away
Now we're stuck here to decay
Please let us get in!
Don't lock us away!
We're not like what you're thinking
We're poor little souls
Who have lost all control
And we're forced here to take that role
We've been all alone
Stuck in our little zone
Since 1987
Join us, be our friend
Or just be stuck and defend
After all you only got
Five nights at Freddy's
Is this where you wanna be?
I just don't get it
Why do you want to stay?
Five nights at Freddy's
Is this where you wanna be?
I just don't get it
Why do you want to stay?
Five nights at Freddy's
We're really quite surprised
We get to see you another night
You should have looked for another job
You should have said to this place good-bye
It's like there's so much more
Maybe you've been in this place before
We remember a face like yours
You seem acquainted with those doors
Please let us get in!
Don't lock us away!
We're not like what you're thinking
We're poor little souls
Who have lost all control
And we're forced here to take that role
We've been all alone
Stuck in our little zone

Facts
Dude, the video is so informative and inspirational at the same time, and the editing is amazing, congratulations!! Subbed for another video after 2 months lol
Tysm!💯
Fun Fact: Yuav actually composed for portal: the flash version map pack. (portal the flash version map pack went on to become portal: Still alive but his tracks were not included in still alive.)
I grew up with The Living Tombstone, since Elementary (im now 18) and I knew him at first for his MLP songs cause I was a huge MLP fan and then getting into Fnaf 1 when it first came out and saw his song, I loved him ever since. (Im def not surprised he made remixes for MLP because I been there since day one less goo)
i am a very old fan of the living tombstone i’ve been around when he only made my little pony remixes
the whole “zero to hero” thing is an understatement kinda yuav was pretty popular within the my little pony fanbase and brushing it off as a complete “rough start” undermines the talent he had from the beginning
He's already apologized for this in another person's comment
The Living Tombstone getting some of the love and attention they deserve?!
Impossible!
Although I want the fnaf song to appear on the movie, if it doesnt happen, theres also a chance they compose an original song as a cameo
This would be insane! Will be streaming if it ever comes out for sure!
"despite it's MLP beginnings"
Me who still liked the song Discord to this day because it sounds great:
Also, I've come back to fnaf at least two or three times now, and hearing about the movie has gotten me quite excited! I really am hoping we get to hear their music in the movie, and even if that doesn't happen, I know it will still be a great movie.
I've being listening to their songs ever since they made MLP music. Since I was a brony back than. And it's so awesome to see how far they've come. I hope they continue to make more songs.
I remember these guys back when I was in high school, crazy to believe how long it’s been
Back when I was in Elementary
Im confused on why people would be suprised Yoav is a brony, one of TLT's most sucessful songs, literally a part of the big 3 songs is DISCORD
Since they seemed quite negative about MLP, it's likely they have _no_ idea who Discord is.
We’re waiting every night to finally roam and invite
TLT is a underrated hell of a gem, they make absolute bangers 99% of the time and i definitely recommend a listen to their albums and ost for In Sound Mind
their top 10 songs on yt and spotify have like 100+ million plays each
i dont think TLT is the kind of artist that is anything but underrated. so many people know and love their works.
This song was actually dropped on my birthday, and I never realized until like a couple weeks ago
You are so lucky security breach dropped around my birthday ( still why does it not scare me but ruin made my spine feel chills kind of)
You’d be surprised how many covers and remixes of this song there is.
Agreed, Yoav deserves more credit!
The Spooky Scary Skeleton song was popular before 2020. I fondly remember it being a very popular song even not during Halloween.
There's such a massive void of halloween songs too so it's always nice to get more. You ever heard 2 Spooky 4 U? It's a more original halloween song made in the past few years as well.
Ain't no way bro said spooky scary skeletons was only popular in 2020 tho, that shit was well known as far back as 2015
this video aged beautifully within 3 months
“despite the rough start” hell nah, i am NOT going to pretend that TLT’s discord remix is not fucking amazing. respect it.
funny, blumhouse was trying to acquire the fnaf song for the film around the time the second trailer came out
Interesting, whatever the case may be, I really hope the living tombstone will let Blumhouse use their song for the movie. It’s too iconic atp lol.
@thatdudestony a chance to get your song in a feature-length film about a series you popularized. I think he definitely agreed to letting them use the song
Bro your so underrated you deserve so much more attention
Appreciate it! ❤️🔥
@@thatdudestonyI agree with your comments your content is like something someone whit at least 100K subs would have but hey u will get 1million subs one day just keep on pushing EDIT: I looked at your channel and u only got 4 vids and upload between 6 months to 2 months each video so that explains it

idk why the My Little Pony part was surprising to you. They fanmade songs slapped.
- Entropy
- Discord (Remix) from TLT
- Anthropology
- Smile Remix
- Lullaby for a Princess
- Rainbow Factory
- Awoken
Etc.
Surprisingly MLP fanmade songs were bangers. Some of the actual MLP songs were surprisingly good as well such as "Open Up Your Eyes"
Not just a few from the show. Most of the songs from the show are great. For example
- You'll Play Your Part
- Flawless
- The Pony I Want to Be
- Make This Castle a Home
- Battle of the Bands
- My Past is Not Today
- Acadeca
Just to name a few of the ones I like more than most. Hard to get a long list off the top of your head.
I'm glad that this video was made. It reminds me that I'm not the only one sticking around The Living Tombstone
The living tombstone has been a pillar of my childhood since I first came across the mlp fandom on yt, discord and rainbow factory where my faves, when his fnaf 1 song came out I remember downloading it to my phone and listening to it at school all the time, even singing it with my group of friends as we played during break. Dudes music has followed me since I first used youtube all the way till now ^^
That is so awesome!
"Spooky Scary Skeletons wasn't popular until 2020 quarantine" there is no fucking way you uttered this sentence unironically
this aged magically
Not the mandopony jumpscare. Hide your children
Finally someone who remembers how much he actually sucks
I actually heard the song first when it came out, and that made me want to check out the game! So I can honestly credit the living tombstone with jump starting my entire FNAF phase growing up
They made the theme song for Discord as well. Technically a cover, but most people don’t realize that cause TLT’s cover is so iconic.
Fun fact: the melody of "My Ordinary Life" was sampled from an anime called Nichijou
i just found this out, that is actually really cool!
"Despite the rough start-" Bro Discord is a banger what do you even mean
my ordinary life is actually is a remix of one of the osts from the anime nichijou - my ordinary life btw
He also made a theme song for MLP in the form of Discord, also he got a song on BeatSaber
bro this video inspired me so much even though I was expecting it to be filled with fnaf, you earned a new sub and I hope you grow big on this platform
Nobody talks about greenday anymore and I didn't think anyone remembered them anymore
I have a friend with a greenday hoodie! I would say that they are still pretty relevant!
ALGORITHM, MAKE HIM POPULAR
You literally missed the point where this song played in the official FNAF movie trailer, that's where it truly became the theme song of FNAF.
well guess what happened at the credits chat
he jokes about the mlp stuff but Discord is ridiculously iconic
The fnaf 1 song brings me so many memories of 2015-2018 i even remmeber seeing a kid play fnaf 4 in his tablet in the school bus
> 12 minute long video
> only starts acknowledging the title at SEVEN MINUTES IN
> takes a minute and a half to actually explain
> "he made a song bc it was popular"
> generic "follow your dreams son" message
> video ends
i cant stand video essays
hot fire
Dude you don’t get it he didn’t do remixes of mlp fan music he defined that fandoms music for a time too
I will say it’s sort of disappointing to see the lack of journalistic integrity towards Living Tombstone’s early career. His influence and talent within the “brony” community and how it bolstered his and everyone else’s creativity and talents cannot be understated. You would’ve done well to do more research into this era of his life, and how he would not NEARLY be the successful man he is without it.
Atomizer remix and Discord remix were so good, im not surprised he ended up making some of the best video game themes songs
3:14 That remix was actually popular before then, you could see it all the time in YTPs and MLG complications in times of old.
10:00 bro got a DEATH SENTENCE
TLT's My little Pony music was top class. Not at all a "Rough Start" as the commentator said.
Not to mention he got into popular vr game beat saber for ost5
me when I realized that being owned by warner media means it is very possible for living tombstone songs to be in the movie that's also being made partially by warner bros
You deserve way more subscribers than you have, this editing is so good
the true og fnaf song
Aged like wine.
2:32 actually did you know that the popular song “discord” is one of those remixes? I was also surprised when I found out but tbh I'm not surprised now lol
That was higher pitched* bad grammar rn
0:03 I am on a EXTREMELY WEARD FREEZE FRAME
Y'all love that Discord song by TLT. Y'all realize it was a MLP fan song? Humble yourselves
Was upset he did not mention Frank Sinatra then I HEARD THE INTRO. Truly one of the most FNAF songs to exist
The absolute disrespect shown here towards the MLP fanbase is honestly disgusting tbh. We made TLT’s career and we’re what skyrocketed him.
"89 days until the party" makes a lot of sense to me because my birthday is the same day the movie releases
So Youof and MandoPony had a similar origin story? Fascinating.
As a brony. I felt like the og fans of the living tombstone
Living tombstone has been in my head since his first mlp remix. So no, it's not surprising.
0:39 unrelated, but the cats thumbnail with the blur filter looks terrifying.
"My Ordinary Life is their only song that isn't based off of something else"
The anime that the name, intro speech, and the entire melody comes from:
