Dude you're the GOAT for covering this and giving more discussion on it. However I think the point is that absolutely NO ONE is saying they'll just pull the servers or stop updating ours. What the concern is that we'll just be getting more of the same. Infrequent, minimal balance patches, battle pass and recolor trainer outfits each ranked season. What we really want is the new menus, updated user interface, open social hub, Pokemon animation, new game modes, score board, Pokemon unite move card pop ins etc. They already loosely confirmed these are Chinese exclusives. So at the moment, it seems we are playing an alpha version of the game.
as much as there isnt a whole lot to talk about the currently just yet thanks to poor communication ie future plans, we love talking and speculating abt this game. keep it up man
I reinstalled the game after the m2y nerf patch came out to see if it helped. It helped a little in the balance but there were still over tuned pokemon like Zacian and inteleon and buffing mew to sell a skin. The matchmaking is still bad. And playing the same boring map in rank over and over with bad players on your team is frustrating. Deleted the game. Likely wont be back. The issue isn't the Chinese version of the game. The issue is they don't put enough quality of life changes in the current version. And all they care about is selling over priced skins. Standard is mostly bot games. Overpowered pokemon have placed bad players in my bracket. They wont keep the player base with its current state. They may keep the pokemon fans who defend the IP even though the IP is currently in the worst state its been for years because its Pokemon, but it wont keep the players who want a fun enjoyable experience that doesn't waste your time with bad rewards and bad match making system that they use to please everyone.
I loved how Spragels was trying to explain the common sense to people that loves conspiracies XD. xD have you ever try to explain something simple to someone that doesnt get it xD i have, and felt so related
Im a Wild Rift channel and trust me. Riot tries to put China content to Global. Example: the first year anniversary of China server had rewards with a free skin. Riot in Global turned it into a 7 day log in. Also the global wild rift is shifting to Shanghai to be more with the Chinese marketing mindset. I think Global will get the new content that China has in Unite.
@@UniteClimbing Like i said to spragels, it wouldn't make sense to invest so much time and effort into all these features and gamemodes and only use them in China. These are gameplay things that have nothing to do with regulations
I appreciate your time making this. But honestly, the precedent set by other games that have asian releases that do better then their global counter parts is pretty bad. Monster strike global and pokemon quest have had their english devs dropped or pulled despite their success in JP or china.
I remember playing Brave Exvius and always having to wait 6 months or so for JP content to hit global. Just because they SHOULD bring the content to us doesnt mean they'll prioritize it lol
What spragels said is logical. But TiMi had made illogical decision from time to time, I would be agree with him if not for this. Like the ban draft mode in ranked. It is logical that it will make ranked will be more competitive, but we already have ranked mode for almost a year. It is illogical that they dont know how to do ban draft in ranked. It is illogical that the ban draft mode being bugged for almost a year. It is illogical that chinese version (unreleased beta) have ban draft mode in ranked earlier than global version (already released with player base) The most recent illogical thing that TiMi and TPC made is the legendaries and the concept behind it. They are passing this through, then slowly but surely, the game is not about pokemon anymore, but pokemon legendaries. You are too optimistic by ignoring things the devs had done before. The devs had made two version of the same game before (HoK, AoV), failed, trying to merge them both by abandoning AoV, and they made very similar decision to Unite.
@@flo4130 Honor of Kings (HoK): mobile MOBA created by tencent, developed by TiMi, when Riot refused their request. Currently the largest Mobile MOBA in the world despite only being officially released in China (Unite probably only about 1% as big as HoK) Arena of Valor (AoV): globalized version of HoK. Failed to compete with Mobile Legends (BB), despite having more funds, because late introduction (earlier than wild rift though). Currently the patch is scarce, and once they do, the balancing is minimum. AoV is being merged to HoK (because of several reasons), but will surely shutdown in undetermined near future.
Very Optimistic but its hard to say if he will be right or wrong so prematurely but his point of ditching the current fanbase to potentially woo in another stands, its not very profitable.
Sadly though we see less leaks of pokemon unite made by dataminers because the developers are not doing anything exciting, just boring events and crappy rewards all the time, if the active users drop out, the game will die and they will lose alot of money from The Japanese Company. The aim unite developers want is asian and chinese players into this game, its going to be complicated. The asian players only play league of legends wild rift which is the best mobile game to succeed and having better asian championships of League of legends wild rift and they make alot of money, but on pokemon unite's performance of bringing asian players into this game is poor and not making money enough of it. And Chinese players are very restricted due to the Chinese laws about games being very addictive. The future of pokemon unite is not going well and probably we'll ever see the official shutdown of this game due to lack of communication from community.
I hope Spraglels is correct. I wouldn’t ever understand why people make exclusive stuff for specific versions of the game only exclusive to one area/country
Very confusing choices from this company. Like, I kinda get why China is getting all the exclusives, but their government is passing anti gaming laws, but why are the test servers in India? Honestly just change the test servers somewhere else, because of them we got all these broken pokemon releases. I know that it might not be completely their fault, the game is just run by a bunch of money hungry people
is this game click in china chinese will sure spend shitton of money in the game heck even be promoted in every other products or even fast food chains we wont also be getting in global china is a moba loving country thats for sure and the elements that pokemon unite game is similar to league and dota 2 but oversimplified hope they do balance in pokemons they release this is the only thing that hinders the game
Love it when people not only assume a game is dead, but also state it like a fact. The game is currently at a trough in terms of player activity, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a future. Pokémon Go hit a major trough in 2017 after its hype died down, yet in the following years the game kept climbing back up with various new features. Now it has its own competitive scene. Remember, a game isn't dead as long as it keeps receiving new releases and updates.
@@UniteClimbing I am sorry I was not saying it to you personally, I was saying it to Spragels, I should not have said him as well I am sorry. Omg same. I faced the mews in one match and i was like "they seem more bearable" so it seems more fun now atm
More discussions the better, but that is just me, can switch even handle that overworld thing in Chinese unite
It's definitely possible with good optimization
Why it couldn't handle it ? Switch has far more complex game worlds like the OW Zelda and the Xenoblade Chronicles
