I bought such a device 1.5 years ago. I connected a Monitor Audio Bronze Br5 Bi-Amping speaker to it. I use Lossless both on CD and USB, as well as Hi-Res. Satisfied. H/F and L/F are well separated. The middle is better and the stage. I compare it with the Pioneer 512 receiver + Pioneer speakers. Maranz is better!😊
Good morning Serhiy. I only followed instructions and connected my speakers to A terminals as my cables are for only a pair of speaker binding posts. So all the power goes out from A speakers of Marantz. I find sound quality great through this way too.
Hi Kostas, how are you finding the Melody X? I was close to purchasing the denon ceol n11 which is also a heos all-in-one solution but held off when i saw the marantz. Whats your view on the sound quality and amplification? Best magicdog
Happy new year Magic Dog! I own the melody x since the beginning of summer 2020. From the first minute I was very impressed by its sound as it satisfies the basic demands of every listener. But gradually I found out that I needed a more esoteric sound quality. I mean that melody x offers perfect sound but you need more in order to feel the sound, and the performance you just heard is not only a superficial reproduction of the music event. This is the only negative point I can find about melody x: The fact that in the near future after you possessing it you will have the need to move on to a fuller feeling. I would say that the digital amplification has to do with it as I am using it now as a player with Arcam A85 and I feel more things while listening. For around 600 euros having a cd, internet, radio, airplay, bluetooth player is a great bargain, even if you don’t use its very satisfactory amplification. Kostas.
@@kostasmamalakis6705 Its great your really putting it through these tests. Presently Im using the Denon heos wireless amp - its 100w p/channel. Ive really enjoyed using it and have had for about 4 years, but lately have found im really missing being able to play cd's. I would love to avoid buying seperates as i just want a really clean wire free ( as much as possible) living room set up. As a result i know by getting an all-in-one system the trade off will be a compromise on the sound quality. Do you think for the most part that the Marantz melody x is a good solution? I intend to pair it up with Dali Spektor 2 speakers. Regards, magicdog
@@magicdog5623 I own marantz mcr612 with dali Spektor 2. And it is very good. To make the most out of this, I'd advise you to invest on a good pair of speakers connectors such as the audioquest rocket 22.

Hello, Kostas! Have you tried Bi amping with Melody X. Some people say that Bi amp is outstanding in Melody X.
I don't have bi-wireable speakers, so I use parallel BTL function to drive the speakers for each channel via the 4 amps built inside the unit.
Just ordered this, was wondering if I could use it with a graphic equalizer
Sorry I can t answer this.
