    Picking up a UDR roller on Tuesday and setting it up for racing other UDRs and love your videos on all the suspension and set up. Will be doing this kit and excited to get it dialed for the track!

    As small as those bypass tubes are, I'd say a really lightweight oil with a single hole piston might really work better for the adjustments being able to work better. Heavy oil through a small tube is always going to flow slower. That is a good idea about putting the variable kit and lighter oil on the sprung shocks for sure. Just imagine trying to push grease through a tiny hole vs water running through the hole much easier.

      Yeah, I need to experiment a bit.
      It seems the bypass holes are larger than the piston hole but I can’t see the seat where the check valve ball sits and that would be the more restrictive spot. I’m going to go as light as I can while still controlling body roll, etc…

    Try using a small amount of graphite powder to alleviate your sticking concerns with the suspension components. Being a dry powder it won't attract any dirt to the area

    Awesome video have you ever tested the big bore gpm L-shape shocks for the udr?

      No, I havent tried those. The only other setup I tried was the Traxxas variable damping kit in the stock shocks which worked really well

    I wonder how those would work without drilling, but running motorcycle fork oil. CST is very low compared to RC silicone oils.

      Need to be careful with motorcycle fluid, some of it swells the orings. Best to stick to pure silicone fluid

    Whats up. Was wondering if u could use the lx shock damper in the front of the udr as well

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Год назад +1

      Yes but you need different upper arms for clearance. Check out LX site, I believe they were making some

      Its an aluminum mount from AfroLucha. Not sure if they still make them.
