My first games Boxing Day 1962 against Leyton Orient a 5-1 win. Loved it standing ibehind the goal at the Filbert Street end. Hooked for life LTID. Bobby Roberts was some player and we all loved Ken Leek. Remember Allan Clarke being asked by press why he had joined LCFC when bigger clubs where wanting him and he said well the big clubs can’t win everything can they?

Gillies was the consummate liar in regard to his excuse concerning the dropping of Ken Leek. Leek was a superb player and goalscorer. The guy who replaced him was unheard of.

Leek goes down for me as one of the most underappreciated players in Leicesters history had they one the final with him playing I'm sure he'd be much more recognised.

Ken Leek was dropped because he was dating the chairmans daughter.
Hence a debut at Wembley for young Hughie Mclmoyle a 19 year old who hardly got a kick.
The rest is history as they say 💙🦊💙
