Some jazz vocalists used to do a form of gibberish, so they could express themselves but they weren't using words - like instrumental musicians do. It came to be called "Scat Singing". "Boop boop, sh'bop bop, flurdle flurdle." Ella Fitzgerald was particularly cool and creative with her Scat Singing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scat_singing

@krm3396 Thank you! Gibberish is not intended to be normal, mundane, everyday or boring. We are happy to be part of the weird, eccentric, creative, outrageous side of life.

Speaking in Gibberish is one way that girls will turn away guys they are not interested in. It is especially popular to use in foreign countries... a bunch of smarmy local dudes approach a group of cute American tourist girls. The girs start yammering in gibberish (asking directions, demanding who-knows-what); the smarmy guys promptly go away. (And the girls have a good laugh.)

Thank you for your comment. If you look for historical uses of gibberish, it DOES refers to meaningless nonsense. Check out a dictionary. The Fun Language Practice which some call Gibberish, where you add syllables to "real" words, is more like Pig Latin. A fun word-game, but not what would be called Gibberish (as per the dictionary and "commonly accepted" usage). Enjoy your writings and speaking, whether in language or nonsensically.
