Hi Mark, I've just got a wildlife camera as a gift off my hubby for my birthday. I'm going to set it up tomorrow. Great footage, and at least you know who is visiting your plot. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
I've had my felco secateurs refurbished by felco as a Christmas pressy this year. I know you can maintain them yourself but it is a bit of a treat to have them returned in pristine condition.
I hope you got some nice presents. My husband got me a box of gardening goodies. Made my Christmas! I'm really loving your videos. I haven't been able to watch too much lately so I'm binge watching them all now. Happy Holidays!
Hey JB this list is sooo good. Some great ideas for all ages and genders who garden no matter how serious or casual you are. Some things that I would never have even thought of but would love to receive too. Another suggestion for your list is large plant labels and I swear by the Vitapod propagator system with or without heat matts too for growing my seeds. I’ve asked for tomato halos this year. Great video as usual. Xx
I'm really happy that I seem to have a lot of the things here that you recommend! This is a brilliant video and a seriously great list. Kilner jars are incredibly difficult to retrieve and I kind of write them off once given. I've started to collect and clean small disposable jars to use instead for gifts as it was starting to cost me a fortune 😁 I think that the Autopots are going to my go to gift for this year and I'm off to have a look at your video again to refresh my memory. I'm growing a lot of Microgreens at the moment, I got quite a lot of seeds from Grown local abut also growing lots of Mung Bean Sprouts. Like the look of those frames at the end!
TImber… omg yes!! Literally would love love love a few packs of Timber for Crimbo! Step away from the handbags and shoes… get yerself down the builders yard 😊
A cordless strimmer or drill if you are feeling very generous would be nice. Obviously you would have to know if the person actually needs one. I'm going to buy a strimmer as my Christmas present to myself. I've also asked for a small multi-tier table to put seedling trays on at home.
I'll put some number 20 on my list of presents to get myself 😄Also, I think I'll grow some Aji varieties and potentially some Jalapeño next season, so I think I'll add some Ball jar to my list as well so I can try my hand at some pickling!
Great list JB and i totally didn't casually share it with my hubby! lol 😂 I re use jam jars with the pop lid but i would love the proper stuff like the jar lifters and bits and bobs. There is a spring operated jar lifter that looks really cool as it helps with the grip, which is very useful when boiling the jars or sterilising them in the oven. That miller looks good and i like the idea of the separate handles and attachments. We want to rotill and aerate our lawn to level it a bit more and create a bit more drainage in the clay soil, so i think this will be a cheaper option. Two sketches always comes to mind when talking handles: - Two Ronnies and the four handles - Only fools and horses, where trigger talks about his long lasting broom! 😂 Bulk buying Vermiculite / Perlite is a great shout too as those smaller bags are really quite expensive and it's free delivery too!
😂😂 is this a list for us or suggestions for Jess. I ask for gift cards from my local garden centre it’s better for him 😂. Have a great weekend keep warm, Ali 🥶🇨🇦
this is brilliant JB. IThis list is inspirational. May I ask what the difference is between the quadgrow and the auto pot? Thank you so much - one of the best videos I've watched lately. happy gardening 😃
Sorry for the late response! I've done separate videos on the autopot and quadgrow which are on the channel if you want to see them. The quadgrow is just a pot with a big hole that sits on top of a big reservoir you fill with water. You put capillary matting into the plant pot which then goes down into the reservoir and sucks up water. The autopot has a different pot with a bit of a fancy system where you fill the bottom with specific medium. Then the pot sits in a base with a valve. The valve is connected to a large reservoir and lets in water when it's dry, then stops. Plant has a chance to absorb the water and then when the valve senses it's dry again it floods the pot. Autopot is much more expensive but I grew plants bigger than I've ever come close to in a quadgrow!
Great gifts JB but I don’t think I would get the one you use in the garden for the weeds I would love that, ❤Question I have some beefsteak tomatoes they are growing beautiful but the blossoms keep dropping off what can I do.
Super choices JB, several have made it on my Secret Santa list for this year. Going to check out the Chilli grows and they may be my pressie to myself 😁 Some other things that could be added would be a decent pair of short boots for gardening in that keep your feet warm and dry. My little short wellies are great but I do get cold feet in them and wearing thick socks makes them uncomfortable. Does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers and happy Christmas everyone
Wonderful suggestions! I love them all. May I share some thoughts? JB, those louvre'd windows are known to some folks as "jalousies," just as an FYI. I've had a hankering to build a cold frame (honestly, a polytunnel just isn't feasible right now) and one of those automatic arms to ventilate a cold frame would be welcome. Can't imagine having a cold frame without that arm-thing to open the top of the "magic box." In addition to timber, (not that you asked!), I'd have long, heavy, sturdy bamboo canes on my Christmas wish list. 729.26 GBP for Vitamix's "Ultimate" blender which, if I recall correctly, heats the soup you've just put in the ingredients for, if you want that. And if I don't misremember, other bells and whistles come with this contraption. Vitamix blenders are known for the power and durability of their motors and are generally considered to be worth the money *if you use one that much,* but I won't deny that they are indeed spendy. I cheerfully admit: I don't have one. Plenty of folks don't have, and seem not to feel their quality of life in any way diminished for the want of a Vitamix blender. But for anyone who craves one, there are more modest Vitamixes which aren't nearly so price-y. Much gardening love and best wishes for the happiest of holidays from Ohio, U.S.A. 😊💚💚💚😊
Nice vid JB! I guess if you have a lion in your garden it makes sense to have automatic vent openers because you'd never get to your greenhouse alive! Ah.....no, you said "lie in". Sorry! Must get my hearing checked! 😁 Have a great Christmas! All the best, David
Footwear and. A decent jacket. Would be nice. Something to stay dry in and is not so bulky. Personally I would love. Ashes this Xmas but I know Father Christmas isn't listening 😂
What feed do you use in the autopot system JB. I have an autopot system but I've ran out of the feed you get with it.. Wondered if you used anything else?
I used the nutrigrow quadgrow fertiliser in mine when I ran out of the auto pot feed and you saw my harvests! I know grown local stock it. Great stuff.

I asked and got 30 decking boards for my birthday 😂 my family thought I’d lost the plot, going to ask for the same this Christmas 🤞🏻😂
Some fantastic ideas here, couldn’t go wrong with any of these! Thank you JB! ☺️
A really good selection of what a gardener/ allotment holder needs or wants 😊, Thank you J B. Have a lovely Christmas, Tracy

One year I got sleepers from my family. Best present ever!
Some great idea's NEED bigger seed box!!!

So many great ideas!!! (Too many that I would want to get for myself... Restraint, Sox, restraint!) 😂💖
Ha ha… I remember when you got your first Wolf Garten, you defo were not impressed. Glad you’ve now recognised how great they are.
Yes I was just using it when it was far too wet! I got so many angry comments from people saying it was user error 🤣 they are really great though
That's a brilliant christmas wish list 👍👍👍
Thanks JB, just ordered a Horo Hori for my allotmenteer son.
Ahh wonderful!

I have a cheap pair of fluffy dunlops that cost about £20 4-5 years ago! One of the best birthday presents I've had
Wonderful suggestions! I love them all.
