    This was such a fun yet frustrating Cowboys team to watch. From starting off a disappointing 3-5 on the season with inconsistent performances on both sides of the ball to their magical turnaround that led to a division title and playoff berth at 10-6-including a 13-10 win over the New Orleans Saints a week prior to this game-this team is one I will remember for a long time. They were one of only two Cowboys teams I watched that renewed my hope of them being potential Super Bowl contenders, the other being the 2014 Cowboys team. It was a lot of fun seeing the rise of Dak Prescott, DeMarcus Lawrence, Leighton Vander Esch, and Jaylon Smith all in the same season, as well as the emergence of Amari Cooper as the top receiving threat. He singlehandedly changed the form and identity of the offense. I look back on this season and these games fondly. It was a great season of football in general (outside of the Super Bowl) and one that Dallas enjoyed some success in.

    • @evanhullinger2900
      @evanhullinger2900 2 года назад

      The Cowboys offense that year was highly inconsistent. They just won that year all due to their top 10 defense which was tremendous all year.

    • @BrendenNichols
      @BrendenNichols 2 года назад

      @@evanhullinger2900 This game proves otherwise. When the offense needed to play well in the biggest games (after their acquisition of Cooper), they played well. Statistics can skew our perspective of the offense’s performance. While the Cowboys were ranked 22nd in total offense and 21st in points per game, they averaged the fifth highest points per game and seventh highest yards per game down the stretch, so while I’ll concede that the offense was inconsistent the majority of the season, they played well when it mattered and came close to beating the Rams despite falling behind by 15 points twice, a game in which the defense was uncharacteristically poor against the run. However, I agree that the defense kept them in many games and made plays in a lot of pivotal moments during the season. They definitely deserve a great amount of credit for that.

      thank you I was looking for this. Happened 4 years ago but this is still the most rigged game I’ve seen us play against dallas in my lifetime. The replay on a turnover call clearly showed eagles recovery but they said Dallas ball? We get at least a fg, maybe a td that drive and the rest of the game is open but seeing how we played there’s no OT. Philly did everything to will their way to OT just were unfortunate in OT. That opening kickoff still pisses me off bc Dallas fans never admit it refs handed them one. If it happened to us I’d be like “damn we got lucky the refs sucked this game”. Dallas fans, nope “omg we beat the eagles we’re sb favorites” like every single season.

Game would have never needed to go to OT if Dak could connect.

    • @smh-TV
      @smh-TV Год назад

      As an eagles fan I’m mad at how rigged this game was. From the opening fumble recovery in dallas territory that should’ve given us another fg/td if that. should’ve been eagles ball no matter what. That Goedert interference call when he was clearly fouled pissed me off even more. The refs did every little thing to make sure the Cowboys won the eagles still forced it to OT. Granted you won OT fair and square. But rewatch this game and put your bias aside. You’ll see what I mean. If it was reversed I wouldn’t have been impressed with Philly’s win if they were given a free turnover-erased and a dumb call that tried to prevent a tie in the 4th. Those 2 calls and the moment they were called and the replay not being taken serious at all makes me think Jerry paid the refs.

      @@monkeyflingpoo247 I call BS on that. When the Cowboys lose in the wild card and/or the divisional round every single time they reach the playoffs, i dont even count that anymore. How about they win the division in the regular season and make an appearance in the NFC Championship game or the superbowl FOR ONCE in the past two decades.
