  • This Hasapiko that was played has a Special meaning to all of our Greek folk dancing friends whether being Greek or Greek at Heart, this songs represents our very dear friends that we lost over the years and have entered the House of the Lord and which they will be "Forever in our Hearts" ~ Celebrating their Souls in Heaven!!
The hasapiko (Greek: χασάπικο), is a Greek folk dance from Constantinople. Hasapiko is a very popular, relatively modern Greek circle dance. It is called a Pan-Hellenic dance, because it is danced all over Greece. It is a lively hopping style dance, it has become known as the "sailors" dance, a very popular dance at Greek festivals, weddings and special events all over the world. Hasaposerviko which followed the Hasapiko is a fast paced dance and resembles the Jewish "Hora".
