Three knuckle strong lead hand always square trail hand for me, sort of a Mike Malaska grip/throwing release job. Odd or different, yes, but it works, for me anyways.
Thanks for all your great instruction videos here, the absolute best on RUclips or anywhere else....and there is A Lot of instruction on the tube!

@@AthleticMotionGolfonce a year a straight up match would be fun. But most teachers do on course instruction in person and other mediums all the time.
Your versions of on course instruction should be fascinating.
Of course you gotta take some of your gadgets on the course.
Force plates on different slopes on course would be cool for starters.
So much potential with all the tools and expertise and collaboration you have going.

Great video and so timely! I really think you guys are watching me! I’ve been working on being too flexed at the top with my left wrist (ala DJ- but I don’t have DJ’s abilities)…using the HackMotion, my impact is right on, but I’m over flexed at the top…so, after many frustrating sessions of doing all sorts of things with my left hand, I decided to take a look at my right hand on the club…lo and behold, and was using too strong a grip with the right hand (coming from under the club) and this would allow my left wrist to over flex at the top…I started doing exactly what you guys just covered, i.e., the trigger finger, and bam…it doesn’t let my left wrist flex too much at the top while still coming into the impact zone with a good position…what I notice is I don’t feel like I’m working nearly as hard to get the club in the right position in the downswing and I’ve actually gained 2-3mph from that change alone! Does that compute??

@@petegalindez9961 absolutely - great job 👏 Bowed at the top is trouble for all but a few. The trail hand is mega important as it’s usually the dominant hand.

Not sure about speed and consistency, but some might want to consider going midsize. Lots of tour players use 'standard' but also have 4-8 layers of buildup taper under the grips. I have a M/L glove size and when I went from standard with no BU tape to standard +7 tapered layers or a midsize grip, ALL OF THE TENSION DISAPPEARED from my forearms. Was like magic. I was on the way to injuryville with just regular standard grips no matter how lightly I tried to grip and I don't even have big hands.

depends on a lot of things but yes big grips can help some people

I’m going from a strong to neutral grip and still have a problem with feeling comfortable about where my trail hand pointer finger sits. Work to do…

Any grip change takes time to marinate. Feeling uncomfortable is to be expected 👍

Love the content. Since you asked for ideas…. Can you go over the trail hand movement in the backswing and its orientation at the top? Maybe a deep dive into the “holding a server tray” thought? How does the trail hand orientation affect impact?

Great video!! Thank you! I’ve been fighting left wrist “cupping” just post impact and I’ve been working on swing thought “dragging the knuckle towards the ground” or “knuckle down at impact” swing thoughts not really working. I seem to stall my upper body at impact and guide my hands causing a chicken wing look… I see the issue but not sure how to fix it 😢 ☹️😠
