I currently drive a 18’ CX5 and it’s a lot quieter than most similar cars/SUVs in the price range so this has been on my radar. My fav part of having a quiet car is carrying a full car of passengers and they can all talk without having to talk over the road/wind noise. That’s priceless tbh.

Love the ride, toyota reliability, fit.. finish... feel.. love it! Not 100% on the looks but if you get it in black or the red shown it's fantastic
This is the type of car that you get because you want something that is fuel-efficient, reliable, and just plain comfortable. I would not mind driving this car daily as it seems like it would be a great car to own and drive every day. I mean that's pretty much what most people want every day, especially me, yes having a sporty handle car is fun but sometimes it can come at a cost in the wallet.
Great review as always! Unfortunately this car is extremely hard to find due to shortage. Even if you find it, it is nowhere near 45k, most like 55k with inflated dealer prices... market is in pretty sad condition past 2 years...
Forget about everything else, the windshield washer fluid sprayer function is absolutely perfect! I have always complained about cars that have the nozzles in the wipers themselves because half the time you're just spraying into the air when the wipers are fully upright. Very cool! (12:03)
I agree, folks praise the beauty of this car but I always thought it look weird, kinda off. One thing I noticed when you see the car in motion it looks as if it's dragging it's tail. What I mean by that is you know how cars lift in the front and squat in the rear during hard acceleration, that's how this car looks going down the road as if the rear end ride height is lower.
I almost bought one of these instead of a new Camry Hybrid XSE, but chose the Camry instead because the roofline of this vehicle was a little too sleek, and it was difficult to get in and out of thanks to how low the roof is. To me, I didn’t lose anything except the bragging rights between this and the Camry XSE Hybrid.
It's cool that Toyota/Lexus are committed to the function of the hybrid system so don't do fake shifts for the CVT. Great car but the engine sounds the same as any other Toyota hybrid product
I don't believe F-Sport hybrid gets the adaptive suspension. Checked the website and it seems to be absent. It's just tuning of the regular suspension.
I just want this to have AWD and a faster 0-60. 8 seconds is not acceptable for a luxury sedan in my opinion. Hopefully Toyota uses the new hybrid system that the prius 2023 got on the ES 300H to give it the power it needs.
If only it had more power/torque, it would be awesome! It really needs AWD Hybrid with bigger capacity battery, or V6 Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, etc... And where's the 350h ES with AWD, come on Lexus!!! This is still not good enough for me to even think about upgrading from my IS300h.
They really need to use the upgraded 350h powertrain from the new nx, 250hp and a better torque band. Also plug in hybrids are horrible I'm glad they haven't added one.
Except for the Tundra and LX 600 sadly Toyota is done making V6s. Everything is going to be a turbo 4 cylinder hybrid or phev. I have a GS 350 AWD. I'm never selling it.
Prob the new NX350h? not 44MPG but close and it's a smaller crossover. But interior and infotainment is all new and I hear considerably better than even this ES Hybrid
Do you know if the car had Sport S+ mode and the Adaptive Variable Suspension? According to the owner's manual, it doesn't "stiffen up" the suspension except in Sport S+. Sport S does not change anything except drivetrain. In fact, I'd say this test car doesn't have it because rather than "Sport S" in the gauges, it just says "Sport", which is similar to my IS 350 which I got without the adaptive suspension. Not that it needs it.
