Indeed it is - although only here for the winter season. I understand thereafter it will be based away from the SVR. The good news is that the same group own Bradley Manor, which will become resident at the valley next year instead 🙂
Good evening my friend, greetings. I am delighted with the professional shot. It absolutely couldn't be better. It is a pleasure to watch. The locomotives and carriages look very good. You have chosen the photo spots excellently. You have done an excellent job. Absolutely top class!! I wish you a lovely evening and a good start to the new week. Best wishes, Wolfgang 👍👍👍😊
Thankyou very much my friend. As you know, I always consider your love of changing scenery so try my best to move to different locations for each train! 🚂
I don’t think they do the sitting on the knee thing anymore…. too many dodgy folk about methinks! I think they get to watch a little show and then have a present waiting for them when they return to the train.
Thankyou! The last shot - if you go down Lisle Ave, near the bottom there’s a bridge that you go under to access the canal. Just before the bridge, there’s a little grassy bank that runs alongside the line. There’s a fence with razor wire on top to deter trespassers… BUT - there’s one little area where there’s a gap & if you’re tall you can reach over with a camera/phone - hence why it’s a bit wobbly when the train passes, as it’s not the most stable position!! It looks closer than it really is because I cropped the edges from the shot to get rid of the bits of fence etc. Tbh, not a spot I’m likely to use again I don’t think - not sure what I could do to keep the camera steadier when trains pass, but I do enjoy looking for different places!!
Another great day on the railway! Thankyou 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Good to see Erlestoke Manor back, btw 👍👍👍👍

Nicely done but how did you get the last shot of 7812?
Looks a bit close to the line/not a known public area
