There's an unofficial accessory for the classic controller that allows you to hook the Wii remote on the back of the classic controller. And so I ask: does this method work with classic controller?
I have done the same in the past but with an xbox 360 controller and an old samsung phone strapped to it so I could use motion control in games like botw, then I got a ps4 controller just so I can use the motion control easier
The fact that basic features like gyro controls and analogue triggers still aren’t standard across platforms infuriates me to no end. I’m glad at least the Switch Pro Controller has motion controls unlike the Wii U Pro controller and all Xbox controllers to this day.
Just a great example of cost savings. Though to be fair to Nintendo, analog triggers on portable devices can be kinda risky. It's their fault that games don't use gyro more as their whole system doesn't support it at all.

Actually it's because the Wii Remote only had accelerometers, no gyros. So it can tell when you move it, but not fine angles. It's why in games that tell you to do an action just jiggling the controller works just fine. It can't tell how you're holding it, what direction you shook it, etc.
@Skylancer727 yeah, i played vr with wiimotes as vr controllers, and even made some software to use the wiimotes, not having gyros was absolutely awful also no gyro manufacturer would ever make a chip with roll and pitch but no yaw (also when you put it on its side you suddenly had yaw but no pitch, as pitch is now horizontal, clearly indicating the use of an accelerometer) also one of my Wiimotes had a bit of drift as it wasn't directly made by Nintendo, it works really well in Wii games but when you have a menu stuck to it and and trying to click something small on it while having to slowly move the other hand so it doesn't freak out and you also have the Kinect 360 that's not always perfectly tracking where your hands are...
