I can agree too, GTA IV was still a fantastic soft reboot of the franchise but its realism factor sacrificed quite a lot of series staples (like the lack of miniguns, flamethrowers, military, among others) :P
I like to think that GTA 6 is gonna be the GTA SA of the HD universe. Like GTA 4 was R* trying out on their new hardware kinda like GTA 3. And GTA 5 improved upon it even further just like GTA VC! GTA 6 will blow us away with what it'll achive once it releases!

It's not that GTA VI won't be good, it's the fact that people are forgetting how much rockstar has been letting the community down for years and years and people are just letting it slide even after recognizing the issues and then continuing to feed them money anyway which guarantees a repeat of the same business model. Don't forget all the glitches that rockstar allows to run rampant in online, how bad their support for RDR2 was, their botched remasters of the old games, how unsecure the PC version is with modders and hackers , how desperately they milk GTA online wanting people to buy shark cars, all the ridiculous things they added to the game like the orbital cannon that ruin other players experience when the wrong people get their hands on this stuff. How can anyone be so ignorant to think it's not just going to happen again? This is coming from a day one player with nearly 15,000 hours on the game over the years and I stopped playing a long time ago because I refuse to be one of the idiots fueling rockstars ability to keep making poor decisions. I used to love rockstar, I've played nearly every GTA and some of their other games, I'm just not stupid like the other 90% of people that feed into it.
my own two cents: i think the main single player story and gameplay of gta6 will completely shatter the idea of what a video game can be. it will be a testament of human ingenuity and technological advancements in the entertainment industry. But i am honestly terrified of what Rockstar has planned for online, and the sort of inescapable influence their decisions will have on the rest of the industry.
Probably yes, but it would be nice if they at least listened to the players they want money from when making a cash grab. GTAO was more interesting at the beginning. It was made up of ordinary, small missions, not work for the government or large corporations. The only hope is that it was because it suited the game itself, after all, gta 5 was about working for the FIB, so if the plot of GTA VI is more serious, then GTAO can be like that too
In my mind whenever it comes to a AAA game studio I never hold my expectations high so I don't two brokenhearted when things get released half-assed or not as good as the trailers
Bottom line is rockstar has shown with the handling of gta 5, the dlcs we were promised and never got for story mode, is they want money, I understand every company wants it, but rockstar takes it to another level literally forgetting their promises to pursue their storymode like fortnite did.

I think a big reason people are doubtful GTA 6 will live up to expectations is due to how GTA 5 Online has been progressively getting worse overtime. Nearly 200 vehicles were taken away from us so they can have them rarely appear in dealerships, and overpriced vehicles have turned the game into an absolute grind. While I am excited for GTA 6 I have my concerns.

I'm personally very wary about getting my hopes up for GTA 6 Online. I meam, we have 10 years now of experience with how R* handles their Online part. I'm scared it's gonna be an impossible grindfest with too much time limited content. It took 7 years to "fix" passive mode abuse. That was a money making stunt for R*, and they are a very creepy company.
The rockstar that made gta 5 and red dead 2 no longer exist, most of the creative team, a co founder and very important people leaved probably because the path take two was at the time (and obviously now) taking rockstar, I don't know if gta 6 is gona be good or not but is smart to be cautious bc every time most of a team thats working together for a decade and a half leave at pretty much the same time the quality in games decreased drastically and the last example is the battlefield saga witch its case is very similar to gta now...
It's a Rockstar game. The same company that released RDR2. The online mode may be heavily focused on money, but that doesn't mean the game itself will be worse than GTA V. I guess some people forget that most players are waiting for the story mode, and online is just an addition

I don’t see it happening, but God you don’t know how badly I want split screen co-op in GTA6. Plus in terms of being improved upon the improvement could be you can actually do missions. I still blame rockstar for me loving everything co-op so much it’s my favourite genre and you can get a decent bit of co-op stuff but it’s harder to find cooperative story games.
GTA five characters is amazing but the storyline after going back to it after experiencing red dead redemption two storyline I realize GTA five storyline isn’t that great but now that GTA six is on the way after red dead redemption two I feel like it’s storyline is gonna be way better than GTA five

Also loved how Franklin and Trevor were so poorly written, and the antagonists were so forgetable and uninspired. Like Whei Chang and Stretch, you only meet them 2 times in the entire game and the second time is when you kill them. Wow, looking back GTA 5 was truly a game that defined gaming history, especialy with its huge map with full of empty spaces, the game was defenitely not a succes only because GTA counts as a big name in media.

I'm gonna make my own personal opinion here. Rockstar has changed over the years they have made games. I mean what company hasn't changed their workers, lead designers or get new recruits in to help them with their work? Rockstar has done an amazing job on releasing their games, even if it came to delays. Yes maybe the paywall is what makes you less interested but it shouldn't stop you from having a fun time. I played gta 5 since launch and have pretty good hours in and i still find something fun to do. Even in red dead 2 trailer. I was worried, then the game came out and i was shocked. Landscape, cities, NPC interactions, bar fights, etc. I grew up playing Some of rockstar's notorious games. And I'm not changing my mind that they will disappoint. Just give them the time and maybe just maybe. You'll see why rockstar takes their time with making their games.

I was the opposite. I thought San Andreas was a lot like Vice City and kind of avoidable. GTA4 had mindblowing physics and graphics for the time and V followed up on that. The big issue with Six is that it's not really "following up" on V because GTAV is constantly being updated. You're not going to see the jump you would have seen from 360/PS3 GTAV so it might not apparently less revolutionary. New map, new single player, new weapons system, new interactivity. The game will be amazing I'm sure.
There's literally NOTHING that indicates GTA VI will be a good game apart of a technical stand point. Theres 0 Rockstar releases after RDR2 that has been good or even mediocre, look at the GTA Defective edition, the "RDR1 Remaster" for $50 that's the same game for PS4 after 13 years without Multiplayer. They're not the "never miss" company. But the thing that is definitely already giving us an "stay alert" for GTA VI, is the fact so much people that wrote all these games left after 2018, most notable, DAN HOUSER. He's probably the biggest reason why the games had such amazing writing and good self memory, like having GTA 4 2008 references on RDR2, 10 years later. Nobody can denies to me that all the story telling content of GTA Online hasn't had utter garbage or the most uninteresting generic plot points ever made. There's like a new "different independent woman that can hack stuff" stereotype in every new update, the same with the RDO content, there's 0 reason to believe GTA 6 will be good at anything more than a huge content and detail sandbox.
Im worried GTA is gonna have the payday problem. They’ve kept the same game for 10 years and continuously added new cars, guns, skins, etc. when the new one releases it will probably feel like there is no content compared to GTA V
payday 3 was the most mid game ever on releaste tho. payday 3 had like no new mechanics compared to payday 2 and the ones that got reworked arent even good. they didnt even have animations for simple tasks for months after realease. payday 3 lacked the most bare bone features like a good lobby system etc. I could talk for an hour how payday 3 sucks. so no way gta 6 will turn out like payday 3.

San Andreas was my favourite, you could make your character a musclebound moron or flappy belly, also the sunlight put a positive slant on everything, the map was huge back then too. But GTA4 was all doom and dark shades, maybe now we have ray tracing they could simulate the rain filled environment better, I'm thinking of something similar to the film adaptation of Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheeps by Philly K Dick. You only seemed to list technical things and in game mechanics in this video. You said nothing about Rockstar themselves, considering they’re the ones making the game, I’d say that’s pretty significant. They’ve shown us time and time again how greedy and malicious they’ve become. Encouraging disruptive behaviour, extorting the player base, utterly pissing on their legacy. And all in the name of milking the cash cow. What has R* actually done to show you they can be trusted with the next game? Don’t forget GTAV story didn’t get any DLC at all. They abandoned it entirely in favour of online because they knew that’s where the money was. They strayed so far from their roots, and from what GTA has always been about. Adding flying cars with missiles, satellite weapons, and going way too far with the military stuff. Their intentions are the problem, they knew what they were doing and they chose the money over integrity or a good reputation. Seeing so many people still hopeful about 6 is like watching cattle walking into the slaughterhouse. I understand why they want it to be good though, GTA is my favourite game franchise, which is why it hurts so much to see what state it’s in.
Would be nice to see a couple of features from red dead. Implement into gta online, like holding NPC hostage/ tying them up with rope , or even play blimps being hidden. Etc
Back in 2012 I thought there was no way Rockstar could outdo the masterpiece that was GTA 4, thing GTA V would just be a reskinned GTA 4, much like how successive FIFA games are. Boy was I wrong. GTA 5 is a whole different game compared to GTA 4. Since then I learnt to not underestimate Rockstar, which was confirmed with another masterpiece in Red dead redemption 2. 95% chance GTA 6 will be unlike anything we can think of.
Idk about 70% like people are saying but then again rockstar did say they wanted to make most buildings Enterable but just that alone will make it way better then GTA 5. That’s something that will make getting a new GTA game worth it, if you can enter most buildings.

SA was completely revolutionary on a gameplay standpoint, just as gta 3 in it's heyday which carries most substance. @@chillindylan9828 To be fair, the PC version of GTA has always been, and probably still is in many ways, a far superior game. Consoles only got 60fps a couple of years ago. How anyone was managing on 30fps, I have no clue. It's a game, not a film. I want to be able to look round without it feeling like I'm watching a flick book. Other games manage to exist on PC just fine without it being a mod fest. Not like R* couldn't afford to have their own servers to avoid many of the problems they do from using p2p, not when they still make $2.5M a day from shark cards.

It's a simple concept, the game is extremely praised and most people know It's gonna be revolutionary, but there will always be a set of people trying hard not to be disappointment by saying it may not be good. I can understand the skepticism as modern game releases have been terrible for bugs and glitches and so on. But when it comes to the Video Game perfectionists like Rockstar Games with their story telling, very much alive open worlds, always improved mechanics, they know what they're doing to make a game feel unique and addictive. A lot of things unpleasant about GTA 5 was definitely due to hardware limitations of the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox Series (not sure about the S), is as powerful as a Gaming PC that runs any modern game at 1080p 60FPS. I'm not saying don't be skeptical, but have a little bit of hope if you're already bashing the game.
I know the map is going to be bigger but it should have more to interact with. A smaller but more interactive map is always better then a big but mostly empty map

I'm personally very wary about getting my hopes up for GTA 6 Online. I meam, we have 10 years now of experience with how R* handles their Online part. I'm scared it's gonna be an impossible grindfest with too much time limited content. It took 7 years to "fix" passive mode abuse. That was a money making stunt for R*, and they are a very creepy company.

The rockstar that made gta 5 and red dead 2 no longer exist, most of the creative team, a co founder and very important people leaved probably because the path take two was at the time (and obviously now) taking rockstar, I don't know if gta 6 is gona be good or not but is smart to be cautious bc every time most of a team thats working together for a decade and a half leave at pretty much the same time the quality in games decreased drastically and the last example is the battlefield saga witch its case is very similar to gta now...
Considering the the success of gta online and its microtransactions gta 6 is gonna be a lot worse than 5... 😢
It's a Rockstar game. The same company that released RDR2. The online mode may be heavily focused on money, but that doesn't mean the game itself will be worse than GTA V. I guess some people forget that most players are waiting for the story mode, and online is just an addition

I don’t see it happening, but God you don’t know how badly I want split screen co-op in GTA6. Plus in terms of being improved upon the improvement could be you can actually do missions. I still blame rockstar for me loving everything co-op so much it’s my favourite genre and you can get a decent bit of co-op stuff but it’s harder to find cooperative story games.

GTA five characters is amazing but the storyline after going back to it after experiencing red dead redemption two storyline I realize GTA five storyline isn’t that great but now that GTA six is on the way after red dead redemption two I feel like it’s storyline is gonna be way better than GTA five
GTA 5 story line is completely different to red dead its more of a comedy but also more of a movie in my opinion i prefer gta5 story over any other

Also loved how Franklin and Trevor were so poorly written, and the antagonists were so forgetable and uninspired. Like Whei Chang and Stretch, you only meet them 2 times in the entire game and the second time is when you kill them. Wow, looking back GTA 5 was truly a game that defined gaming history, especialy with its huge map with full of empty spaces, the game was defenitely not a succes only because GTA counts as a big name in media.

I'm gonna make my own personal opinion here. Rockstar has changed over the years they have made games. I mean what company hasn't changed their workers, lead designers or get new recruits in to help them with their work? Rockstar has done an amazing job on releasing their games, even if it came to delays. Yes maybe the paywall is what makes you less interested but it shouldn't stop you from having a fun time. I played gta 5 since launch and have pretty good hours in and i still find something fun to do. Even in red dead 2 trailer. I was worried, then the game came out and i was shocked. Landscape, cities, NPC interactions, bar fights, etc. I grew up playing Some of rockstar's notorious games. And I'm not changing my mind that they will disappoint. Just give them the time and maybe just maybe. You'll see why rockstar takes their time with making their games.
Keep Your Expectation low Guys.. Remember always Assume this in "Full Mysteries" Mode. it could Be Good Or Ended Like Saints Row's Reboot.

I was the opposite. I thought San Andreas was a lot like Vice City and kind of avoidable. GTA4 had mindblowing physics and graphics for the time and V followed up on that. The big issue with Six is that it's not really "following up" on V because GTAV is constantly being updated. You're not going to see the jump you would have seen from 360/PS3 GTAV so it might not apparently less revolutionary. New map, new single player, new weapons system, new interactivity. The game will be amazing I'm sure.

There's literally NOTHING that indicates GTA VI will be a good game apart of a technical stand point.
Theres 0 Rockstar releases after RDR2 that has been good or even mediocre, look at the GTA Defective edition, the "RDR1 Remaster" for $50 that's the same game for PS4 after 13 years without Multiplayer. They're not the "never miss" company.
But the thing that is definitely already giving us an "stay alert" for GTA VI, is the fact so much people that wrote all these games left after 2018, most notable, DAN HOUSER.
He's probably the biggest reason why the games had such amazing writing and good self memory, like having GTA 4 2008 references on RDR2, 10 years later. Nobody can denies to me that all the story telling content of GTA Online hasn't had utter garbage or the most uninteresting generic plot points ever made. There's like a new "different independent woman that can hack stuff" stereotype in every new update, the same with the RDO content, there's 0 reason to believe GTA 6 will be good at anything more than a huge content and detail sandbox.
Im worried GTA is gonna have the payday problem. They’ve kept the same game for 10 years and continuously added new cars, guns, skins, etc. when the new one releases it will probably feel like there is no content compared to GTA V
payday 3 was the most mid game ever on releaste tho. payday 3 had like no new mechanics compared to payday 2 and the ones that got reworked arent even good. they didnt even have animations for simple tasks for months after realease. payday 3 lacked the most bare bone features like a good lobby system etc. I could talk for an hour how payday 3 sucks. so no way gta 6 will turn out like payday 3.

San Andreas was my favourite, you could make your character a musclebound moron or flappy belly, also the sunlight put a positive slant on everything, the map was huge back then too. But GTA4 was all doom and dark shades, maybe now we have ray tracing they could simulate the rain filled environment better, I'm thinking of something similar to the film adaptation of Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheeps by Philly K Dick. Sorry, forgot myself there, GTA6 is gona suck man, whys it take so long for PC release.

You only seemed to list technical things and in game mechanics in this video. You said nothing about Rockstar themselves, considering they’re the ones making the game, I’d say that’s pretty significant. They’ve shown us time and time again how greedy and malicious they’ve become. Encouraging disruptive behaviour, extorting the player base, utterly pissing on their legacy. And all in the name of milking the cash cow. What has R* actually done to show you they can be trusted with the next game? Don’t forget GTAV story didn’t get any DLC at all. They abandoned it entirely in favour of online because they knew that’s where the money was. They strayed so far from their roots, and from what GTA has always been about. Adding flying cars with missiles, satellite weapons, and going way too far with the military stuff. Their intentions are the problem, they knew what they were doing and they chose the money over integrity or a good reputation. Seeing so many people still hopeful about 6 is like watching cattle walking into the slaughterhouse. I understand why they want it to be good though, GTA is my favourite game franchise, which is why it hurts so much to see what state it’s in.

Back in 2012 I thought there was no way Rockstar could outdo the masterpiece that was GTA 4, thing GTA V would just be a reskinned GTA 4, much like how successive FIFA games are. Boy was I wrong. GTA 5 is a whole different game compared to GTA 4. Since then I learnt to not underestimate Rockstar, which was confirmed with another masterpiece in Red dead redemption 2. 95% chance GTA 6 will be unlike anything we can think of.

Gta 4 even had way better characters, trevor was like the only likeable character in gta 5 imho, it had better and more memorable missions, better driving, better car physics, more minigames etc. GTA 5 is the most overrated in the franchise. SA was completely revolutionary on a gameplay standpoint, just as gta 3 in it's heyday which carries most substance. These modern R* games have zero innovation, just like anything else in the modern entertainment industry.

@@chillindylan9828 To be fair, the PC version of GTA has always been, and probably still is in many ways, a far superior game. Consoles only got 60fps a couple of years ago. How anyone was managing on 30fps, I have no clue. It's a game, not a film. I want to be able to look round without it feeling like I'm watching a flick book. Other games manage to exist on PC just fine without it being a mod fest. Not like R* couldn't afford to have their own servers to avoid many of the problems they do from using p2p, not when they still make $2.5M a day from shark cards.

It's a simple concept, the game is extremely praised and most people know It's gonna be revolutionary, but there will always be a set of people trying hard not to be disappointment by saying it may not be good.
I can understand the skepticism as modern game releases have been terrible for bugs and glitches and so on.
But when it comes to the Video Game perfectionists like Rockstar Games with their story telling, very much alive open worlds, always improved mechanics, they know what they're doing to make a game feel unique and addictive. A lot of things unpleasant about GTA 5 was definitely due to hardware limitations of the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The Xbox Series (not sure about the S), is as powerful as a Gaming PC that runs any modern game at 1080p 60FPS.
I'm not saying don't be skeptical, but have a little bit of hope if you're already bashing the game.
