Got squad wiped by someone using a M249 on Friday night on console. Full auto spray and every single bullet connected and his aim snapped right to all of us. We were on PS5 and he was on Xbox, so I reported him and now that guy is banned.
Turn off Cross Play, that's what I did after bumping into cheaters. Ok player count drops and you get more bots and it can take longer to get into a game, but the odds of getting hit with a head shot by a shotgun from across the map drops significantly.
i've never seen anyone on console get banned. But this shit always happens. I just finished commenting on a guy thats new and told him this stuff happens in every single lobby and game you play in pub.
With xbox algorithm the only way to cheet on Xbox is with a xim/Kronos there is no why yo get wall hacks on to the Xbox its been proven there's no way to Crack there infrastructure. Now or any time soon the reason being they use nsa security services

I play with random players quite often and I have had quite a few teammates openly admit to using this product. Despite me reporting them they are STILL cheating. Some of these people have been playing for several seasons, some of them have even been playing for several years! Cronus Zen is a HUGE problem

You don’t. Sound good at the game at all I never had an issue playing against players just up your skill . Is it fair I have better hand eye coordination than most and a steady thumb and I can shoot with virtually no recoil naturally
I started playing PUBG on PC just a couple of months ago, after playing on console since launch in '17. I occasionally will hop on the console and poke around when my old lady wants me to hang out in the same room as her, and EVERYTIME i get into a match, there's someone running around clearly on M&K/xim/cronus. Last time i got on, it was bad enough that i just turned it off and found something else to play. it's sad and infuriating to play against.

It's not just a console problem. They're using them on PC as well. Apex and COD are chock full of cronus controller users on PC. It's so blatant. Not even fun playing anymore. The sad part is game dev's and the platforms themselves DON'T want the devices banned. Why would they? You know all the top streamers are using them, which means sales of the game. It's marketing.
The soul truth, they keep making money, the cheaters want to he top players and all geared out for their audience so they just do way with it and let it slide. I know they always saying people that hacked getting banned but they know who's supplying their checks while cheating and who isn't.
We need to restore fairness in PVP whatever it takes. Gaming is casual but it is also a sport and competitive. Nowhere in sports do they allow you to take drugs to cheat and likewise this should be no different. If you cheat you have already admitted losing because you never really won anything by cheating.
Hopped on PUBG on my PS5 console at peak weekend hours with cross-play off to see if there is a difference in game-play now. It's a total ghost town with 5+ minute wait times (it use to take a minute or two at the most). Lots of sus PlayStation players taking a break from PUBG.
@@frykowski7283 I use to play with cross-play off all the time, there is a noticeable increase in wait times since PlayStation has banned these 3rd party devices. There use to be multiple clans that played with cross-play off (especially on the weekends), I only saw one player from one of those clans playing by themselves or with randos the entire time I played.
That's good news for beginner and novice PS players who would otherwise have to deal with lobbies full of lvl 300+ veteran players while learning the game.
I remember one of my squad mates bragging about playing mobile version through his PC as well ad using multiple hacks. We immediately exited to lobby and reported him so we ourselves didn't get banned.
If the solution does not begin within the hardware source there will always be workarounds for USB connection based inputs that enable this kind of cheating
Personally think the biggest surprise for console players is that when they do ban these devices they are still going to suck. People just don't understand how good a lot of players are. Everyone I play with has played for over 4 years. Plenty of cheaters for sure but it's not as large as what people think. Also no aimbot or sticky aim on pubg

The latest update has made my sound quieter. People spectating me can hear things that I cannot hear. It's not just recoil... you can tell when the gun aims independently from where the player is looking... you know that ain't right.
They 100% should ban people running scripts or using this device to cheat but I had a ps4 the entire console generation and play mostly fps games. I got a series x when they released and use a converter to use the ps4 controller on Xbox since I prefer the controller and have the back button attachment from Sony. If they take away the ability to use my preferred controller on their consoles due to the converter being 3rd party and some people cheating it’s going to be super annoying
Maybe a great advantage for companies to solve a good percentage of cheating is next gen consoles have no impute slots for usb, just bluetooth hardware. But they should make it promising to buy next gen consoles by offering higher quality or performance boost. Next gen games that come out may only be supported whenever ps6 and new xbox come out. As a pc player they should definitely figure out same situation.

Having once been ranked 2nd in the entire world in an EA Sports game during the late 2000s to mid-2010s, I can confirm beyond reasonable doubt that devices like the Cronus Max and Cronus Zen have destroyed first-person shooter gaming. Using a console and a standard controller, it is nearly impossible to compete fairly against those utilizing these devices.
Why just go after Cronus Zen devices? Go after the users, get strait to their addresses and ban any IP from their addresses attempting to play FPS games? Also, go after any and all retailers (online and physical), selling them?

Can confirm that Cronus does have software that lets you download cheats directly to the device but you still have to activate them in game to use them.... But Also Xbox controllers aren't tournament ready for fighting games so adapters are necessary
Unfortunately Krafton will not ban these players even if they know they are cheating. Because these players tend to spend a lot of money on skins etc. they are given a free pass.
I saw people in ranked gold 1 plat 4 using something like this all the time. I where killed 20 times yesterday. I was confused how people controll theyr aim like laser guns. Now I understand that I'm not bad player just I'm not a cheater. This is really unfear. I don't have much time to play and even in this situation I tried to improve my aim in practice mode before every game, and players just cheating...
On PS5 I ended up turning off cross play, when it was on I was bumping into at least one cheater probably every 3 or 4 games, the games would become aim-bot central etc especially in the last 1/4 of a game. The problem with turning off Cross play is, you can wait 4-5mins for a game, and the player count is low, there could be more bots in the game than players and when that happens, you end up getting a Chicken Dinner pretty much every few games which ruins it really, you don't feel the accomplishment as much.
I play DayZ. The recoil on those guns are very high. Add to the fact some servers allow mouse and keyboard is bad enough but now I am seeing people even posting to reddit where they are lasering people with NO recoil at all. It is such a lowlife thing to do.
Consoles could easily block these devices. It's not 100% secure, since people can always try to root their consoles in order to cheat. However, rooting comes with risks that are simply not worth taking, if you just want to cheat in a game. On PC, however, it's much harder. 1. Microsoft can't afford to pull an Apple on its users at the moment. People use windows because it's open. If you try to tell people what they can or cannot do with their own computers, it's not going to end well. 2. Even if Microsoft would try to restrict what devices can connect to your USB, people will always find a way to bypass it. I really hope this was intentional and Sony is committed to snap these things out of their ecosystem.
A lot of games on PC have banned Cronus type devices, also modding/jailbreaking is not really rooting a console as that just means granting root access to a system directory and has nothing to do with playing backups or running unsigned code which modding/jailbreaking allows. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will ALWAYS be playing catch up to hackers and will never be ahead of them.
so I guess at the end of the day I'll have to bite the bullet and use a Chronus Max Plus if I'm to get my USB Side winder controllers and USB retro controllers working.

Unfortunately if they can’t directly force an update on people from both consoles, that does detect a Cronus plugged in, this won’t change anything. It’s super unfortunate. The exaggeration isn’t far fetched and I’ve seen how the Cronus works and a lot of people I know use it for a game called Rainbow Six Siege as an example. I’ve seen it on pubg, the no recoil setup with specific guns is a real thing,but it seems like a lot of work cuz you have to pick up specific weapons. Hopefully they can do something soon
It's not just specific guns it's setup for whatever gun you want to use and the attachments that's why a lot of people use the AK with it cause it only needs one muzzle attachment and a scope to get the final result of no recoil. I know lots of people who cheat on Xbox and there's a lot more who also cheat on Playstation as well. The reason I play with crossplay off is cause then there's not only less cheaters but there's also no D-sync issues either. So it helps to eliminate the unfairness of not only cheaters but also the huge D-sync issues PUBG has. I just wish they would ban and block all Cronus Zens and Strikepacks from even being allowed to be plugged into these consoles. Their systems should be banned from playing online games immediately if such a system is ever plugged into it. Screw giving them a warning anymore. They know without a doubt what they are attempting to do is cheating when using something like that. If they want to use that crap only allow it on offline games where it's not affecting other players and only their own PvE experiences if they want to cheat against the AI let them. Who really cares about that sort of thing. I mean if they are that bad of players they have to cheat against bots lol let them but against other people so online games should automatically block them from being able to get online until they unplug that crap.

I recently learned what they are. It's crazy why they sold them in the first place. I use a strike pack with 4 extra buttons on the back. I don't use mods or pay for the subscription (that's gay). I hate that mods are ingrained into the device. I want them gone. I am glad Sony is headed in this direction. I 100% support this. Strike Pack, get rid of the dam mods and subscription BS. Just make a simple extra button attachment.
It should be on the consoles to ban these devices. Gaming companies are so shady these days. Ya know call me paranoid I don't care I share nothing of my real identity online whatever I tell you about where I'm from or how old I am take it with a pinch of salt because nobody knows because that's information only people that I know or at least trust will ever be privy to especially online. Nothing down for scummy cheaters I don't care if its a top ten CoD Warzone player earning 20 grand a first place win or if its little Billy sat in his bedroom just doing it for the kicks I look at every cheater the same. Well and truly happy about this as I am a PS5 player myself I can only be happy about it. Like will it get bypassed somehow in the future? Who knows but I hope not. I have been playing video games since they first came out. You can tell when people are cheating. Yes, there are very good players who are way better than me, but there are a lot of people abusing this. I have stopped playing a lot of games because of it. Just want the true fun back.

I have been playing online games most of my life. I love playing BRs. Lately I am struggling to play because I am so bad I can't win gun fights. Now as to why... I was never great but i wasn't bad. I have a degenerative disease. at this point my hands are not steady and a bit weak. My dexterity is declining and so I struggle with my thumbs especially. I am trying to find a way to just be good enough to be OK lol. I just want to play again. I looked into a zen but its so shit on because of cheating. I watch youtube videos of players and they try to tell you what is the best settings for aim assist and so on, which is BS because when I watch them play there is no recoil whatsoever. It's pitiful that these players need to cheat to get ahead or even paid to do so, I guarentee if they didn't have this device they will be awful.
Have any cronus owners confirmed that it doesnt work anymore? If a console player kills me more than once with zero recoil i always pick up their weapon and test it on a wall to see if i can get that zero recoil. For me that confirms whether they are cheating or not.
We know that over 7 million cronus have been sold... Pubg downgraded the anticheat to ignore 3rd party overlay users. The game went from 120k bans per week to 60k bans per week. There is no legit reason to use a 3rd party overlay since the game already contains one. Last month I had a k/d ratio of 3.5. This month it is .8. It definitely takes the fun out of the game when SIXTY THOUSAND PLAYERS ARE CHEATING AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT!!!

They need to make official license devices and peripherals for gamers with disabilities, also make license mouse and keyboard for those gamers who enjoy using mouse and keyboard on console and have a permanent separate lobby in the menu for them. Platforms will ban all of these cheating devices when we stop playing. Saying is a game dev prob is irresponsible as game devs work under platform’s regulations and not the other way around. Im sure the ban is doable as there has to be a diff in the input from the controller when modded.

If PlayStation has managed it then clearly Xbox should be able to. Wouldn’t surprise me if they are working on it tbh. The manufacturers of these devices won’t change them so the console manufacturers / game devs have got to get control of this. Warzone is definitely better following their latest cheap detection stuff but you are still forced into PC cross-play on Xbox 🤦♂️
The problem is that Cronus is not cheating with all games...that is what the Microsoft rep is saying, so banning it across the whole platform would also disable any legitimate uses a Cronis could have, say for non competitive games.

7 years ago my friends said they think everyone is cheating so they ordered cronus to have a chance. Really took my motovation to play fps away.

Crossplay off is fine for Xbox, PlayStation players are only about 20% of player base so on ps crossplay off does take a long time to fill

I'm xbox player, have both consoles, but only play pubg on Xbox. I've always played with x play off...to many suss ps players.
I remember one of my squad mates bragging about playing mobile version through his PC as well ad using multiple hacks. We immediately exited to lobby and reported him so we ourselves didn't get banned.
If the solution does not begin within the hardware source there will always be workarounds for USB connection based inputs that enable this kind of cheating
Personally think the biggest surprise for console players is that when they do ban these devices they are still going to suck. People just don't understand how good a lot of players are.

They 100% should ban people running scripts or using this device to cheat but I had a ps4 the entire console generation and play mostly fps games. I got a series x when they released and use a converter to use the ps4 controller on Xbox since I prefer the controller and have the back button attachment from Sony. If they take away the ability to use my preferred controller on their consoles due to the converter being 3rd party and some people cheating it’s going to be super annoying
Maybe a great advantage for companies to solve a good percentage of cheating is next gen consoles have no impute slots for usb, just bluetooth hardware. But they should make it promising to buy next gen consoles by offering higher quality or performance boost. Next gen games that come out may only be supported whenever ps6 and new xbox come out.

Having once been ranked 2nd in the entire world in an EA Sports game during the late 2000s to mid-2010s, I can confirm beyond reasonable doubt that devices like the Cronus Max and Cronus Zen have destroyed first-person shooter gaming. Using a console and a standard controller, it is nearly impossible to compete fairly against those utilizing these devices.

Can confirm that Cronus does have software that lets you download cheats directly to the device but you still have to activate them in game to use them.... But Also Xbox controllers aren't tournament ready for fighting games so adapters are necessary
Unfortunately Krafton will not ban these players even if they know they are cheating. Because these players tend to spend a lot of money on skins etc. they are given a free pass.

I saw people in ranked gold 1 plat 4 using something like this all the time. I where killed 20 times yesterday. I was confused how people controll theyr aim like laser guns. Now I understand that I'm not bad player just I'm not a cheater. This is really unfear. I don't have much time to play and even in this situation I tried to improve my aim in practice mode before every game, and players just cheating...
On PS5 I ended up turning off cross play, when it was on I was bumping into at least one cheater probably every 3 or 4 games, the games would become aim-bot central etc especially in the last 1/4 of a game. The problem with turning off Cross play is, you can wait 4-5mins for a game, and the player count is low, there could be more bots in the game than players and when that happens, you end up getting a Chicken Dinner pretty much every few games which ruins it really, you don't feel the accomplishment as much.

I play DayZ. The recoil on those guns are very high. Add to the fact some servers allow mouse and keyboard is bad enough but now I am seeing people even posting to reddit where they are lasering people with NO recoil at all. It is such a lowlife thing to do.
A common combo for these cronus pests is ACE 52, 6x scope, full auto at range.

We all refuse to buy any more stuff until they fix the cheating problem.
Consoles could easily block these devices. It's not 100% secure, since people can always try to root their consoles in order to cheat.
However, rooting comes with risks that are simply not worth taking, if you just want to cheat in a game.
On PC, however, it's much harder.
1. Microsoft can't afford to pull an Apple on its users at the moment. People use windows because it's open.
If you try to tell people what they can or cannot do with their own computers, it's not going to end well.
2. Even if Microsoft would try to restrict what devices can connect to your USB, people will always find a way to bypass it.
I really hope this was intentional and Sony is committed to snap these things out of their ecosystem.
A lot of games on PC have banned Cronus type devices, also modding/jailbreaking is not really rooting a console as that just means granting root access to a system directory and has nothing to do with playing backups or running unsigned code which modding/jailbreaking allows.
Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will ALWAYS be playing catch up to hackers and will never be ahead of them.

Unfortunately if they can’t directly force an update on people from both consoles, that does detect a Cronus plugged in, this won’t change anything. It’s super unfortunate. The exaggeration isn’t far fetched and I’ve seen how the Cronus works and a lot of people I know use it for a game called Rainbow Six Siege as an example. I’ve seen it on pubg, the no recoil setup with specific guns is a real thing,but it seems like a lot of work cuz you have to pick up specific weapons. Hopefully they can do something soon
It's not just specific guns it's setup for whatever gun you want to use and the attachments that's why a lot of people use the AK with it cause it only needs one muzzle attachment and a scope to get the final result of no recoil. I know lots of people who cheat on Xbox and there's a lot more who also cheat on Playstation as well. The reason I play with crossplay off is cause then there's not only less cheaters but there's also no D-sync issues either. So it helps to eliminate the unfairness of not only cheaters but also the huge D-sync issues PUBG has. I just wish they would ban and block all Cronus Zens and Strikepacks from even being allowed to be plugged into these consoles. Their systems should be banned from playing online games immediately if such a system is ever plugged into it. Screw giving them a warning anymore. They know without a doubt what they are attempting to do is cheating when using something like that. If they want to use that crap only allow it on offline games where it's not affecting other players and only their own PvE experiences if they want to cheat against the AI let them. Who really cares about that sort of thing. I recently learned what they are. It's crazy why they sold them in the first place. I use a strike pack with 4 extra buttons on the back. I don't use mods or pay for the subscription (that's gay). I hate that mods are ingrained into the device. I want them gone. I am glad Sony is headed in this direction. I 100% support this. Strike Pack, get rid of the dam mods and subscription BS. Just make a simple extra button attachment.

I have been playing video games since they first came out. You can tell when people are cheating. Yes, there are very good players who are way better than me, but there are a lot of people abusing this. I have stopped playing a lot of games because of it. Just want the true fun back.

I have been playing online games most of my life. I love playing BRs. Lately I am struggling to play because I am so bad I can't win gun fights. Now as to why... I was never great but i wasn't bad. I have a degenerative disease. at this point my hands are not steady and a bit weak. My dexterity is declining and so I struggle with my thumbs especially. I am trying to find a way to just be good enough to be OK lol. I just want to play again. I looked into a zen but its so shit on because of cheating. I thought maybe this was the answer but maybe not... looks like all the AA stuff is for laser beams anyway which i don't want. Not fun that way.

I watch youtube videos of players and they try to tell you what is the best settings for aim assist and so on, which is BS because when I watch them play there is no recoil whatsoever. It's pitiful that these players need to cheat to get ahead or even paid to do so, I guarentee if they didn't have this device they will be awful.
Have any cronus owners confirmed that it doesnt work anymore? If a console player kills me more than once with zero recoil i always pick up their weapon and test it on a wall to see if i can get that zero recoil. For me that confirms whether they are cheating or not.

Pubg downgraded the anticheat to ignore 3rd party overlay users. The game went from 120k bans per week to 60k bans per week.
There is no legit reason to use a 3rd party overlay since the game already contains one.
Last month I had a k/d ratio of 3.5. This month it is .8. It definitely takes the fun out of the game when SIXTY THOUSAND PLAYERS ARE CHEATING AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT!!!

Platforms will ban all of these cheating devices when we stop playing. Saying is a game dev prob is irresponsible as game devs work under platform’s regulations and not the other way around. Im sure the ban is doable as there has to be a diff in the input from the controller when modded.

If PlayStation has managed it then clearly Xbox should be able to. Wouldn’t surprise me if they are working on it tbh. The manufacturers of these devices won’t change them so the console manufacturers / game devs have got to get control of this. Warzone is definitely better following their latest cheap detection stuff but you are still forced into PC cross-play on Xbox 🤦♂️
The problem is that Cronus is not cheating with all games...that is what the Microsoft rep is saying, so banning it across the whole platform would also disable any legitimate uses a Cronis could have, say for non competitive games.
