- One of the gnarliest, and most beautiful stretches of river I've ever run. Besides the huge hit I took in the first waterfall, which resulted in a compression fracture (didn't know that yet when I edited the video) it was one of the best days of paddling I've had in awhile. Thanks a bunch for showing me down guys! Can't wait to get back on this one again...
Glad ur alright bro, that was definitely a hard hit. Looks like a amazing run.
That's a crazy hobby
Has more falls than I expected....but looks so fun❤
@tankmaster1081 pretty please with sugar on top go to a real doctor, and get PT if needed so you can continue to do this for many more years. You might feel fine now, but one bad twist and you are fuct. Much love Boo. Take care of yourself. Sick run btw.
Hope your back is ok
Thanks! Minor compression fracture, just a few weeks recovery. And the river is in PA, right outside of the Stoney Creek township. Paint creek hits the Stoney right above the normal canyon takeout
@@tankmaster1018 thanks, born in connellsville but grew up in alabama, looks like a great run.
@@tankmaster1018it doesn’t appear that your paddling was effected. What prompted the diagnosis?
@@runrideread An Xray 4 days after the fact. Minor compression fracture, so minor that I didn't even realize I was hurt until 3 days later when it was still aching, and I decided to go to an Urgent Care for an Xray. If you look in my video feed, you'll see that I ran Ohiopyle Falls multiple times only 2 days after the injury, just felt like I was sore at that point, never would have guessed I actually broke anything. Had almost no pain whatsoever for the rest of the run as you can see in the video, didn't even realize anything was wrong. So I took the last 3 weeks off, just did some easy paddling today around Harpers Ferry to make sure I could still handle it, and about to rest up for another week or two and get ready for Gauley Season!
what state?
PA, by stoney creek
