I was 11 years old when Favre played Oakland on MNF after the death of his father. I remember my own father watching the game with tears running down his face. Even at 11 years old I could appreciate the magnitude of that moment and I still get goosebumps thinking about that game. One of the greatest moment in Packers history.
it's a shame that any memory of Brett Favre is clouded over by learning what a POS person he actually is, stealing money from the poorest people in the poorest state then trying to sue anyone who criticized him over it..... even when Jordan Love walked into the stadium last week wearing an old #4 jersey, it was more cringe than anything like why are people honoring this shady selfish crooked thief just because he was good at throwing a football 20 years ago
Grew up in Dubuque Iowa with no natural loyalty to any pro team. Thank God my Grandpa and Dad had a natural affinity for the Packers. My Dad was born in '60 and got 11 years of Bart Starr. I was Born in 90 and got all of Favre and all of Rodgers. My oldest Son was born in '22, just in time for Jordan Love. Being a Packers fan is as rich of a tradition in our family as anything.
“Only $100k? What’s wrong with these kids? We make that per episode! Go play for free you kid. You’ll make millions later because every athlete always makes more later. Just not now. Not when I’m paying. Let someone else pay. Kids are so spoiled nowadays.”
I love listening to Andrew Brandt’s perspective. Bring him back as a weekly guest!
