    Clear explanation. How do you know the surface area that you are pumping though? Since pumping forms a cone of depression (rather than a rectangular area that lowers evenly) how can you use storativity to make calculations about how much water will be extracted?

    It is a very nice video from both a practical and conceptual aspects. I haven't come across such a lecture during my entire academics. In this video, I am unable to understand the concept " Is the hydrostatic water pressure enough to collapse the strata by withdrawing water?"

    Nice video! But what I don't understand is how we "lower the hydraulic head with one unit". What are we doing then? Are we doing something with the well? Pumping out water?

      Yes, groundwater pumping from a well will lower the hydraulic head at the well, which in turn creates a low point in the aquifer at the well
