Hey Lewis you are 100% correct on this. The technical solution is ready and has been designed for coexistence of the new (ISO20022) and old standards. That is, the banks that are ready were to start in November '22 and the rest had till March '25 to cutover. The 4 main banks (including ANZ) in Australia have been ready for some years. We can send domestic payments/ transfers to other domesting banks in seconds. If 659 out of the 11,500 institutions are ready then they could just start. So the reason for the delayed start has nothing to do with readiness of the banks if all that was required was a technical cutover. IMO one reason for the delay is that even if say 100 to 659 Banks started the transactions (volumes) will be visible on the ledger (we have seen several XRP price glitches!!) and they don't want it known publically that XRP is part of the core solution yet. We have much evidence that the global institutions (BIS, IMF, WEF, ECB) as well as many global banks are on board with Ripple/XRP. My theory is the purpose of the lawsuit was to slow down Ripple and allow for the "event" that is required to implode the current system. That is, the transition from old to new systems cannot happen over a 2.5 year slow cutover process it must happen over a weekend triggered by some Black Swan event. The USD's Reserve Currency status is what is at stake here (not cross border payments) and there are many moving parts. Ripple has said that XRP is for ODL only and not for retail and they have the escrow ready for the Top20 Global Banks and Gary Gensler was put in place to facilitate that transition. Great report. I have some other concerns about these codes... It's my understanding that some of these "codes" will be used by CBDC to determine if the user is "allowed" to make that purchase. One of the worst thing about CBDCs are that they are programable and that governments (and credit card companies) can control what you are allowed to spend your money on. The CBDCs can be programmed to not allow one to purchase guns, ammo, candy, alcohol... or anything else that THEY deem you shouldn't be allowed to spend your money on. The other big issue is that they can put an expiration date on your CBDCs. Any thoughts about this?
Yes I have some thoughts... Keyword: "CAN" not "WILL." If you live in China I'd be concerned. We do not yet know what level of the programmable aspect to CBDC's WESTERN governments will use, so why assume the worst? That type of thing wouldn't fly in America.

They will 100% try to create their own CBDC before using something like XRP. Just because banks offer SWIFT messaging standards doesn't intrinsically mean that XRP is the front runner for that usage.
