My great grandfather fought in the Korean war, and I have one of his medals. My grandmother's brother has the rest of his medals and even his old pistol.
I remember in school during the veterans day celebration they would list off wars but id always be confused when they listed off the koream war as i had never heard of it. Never was even discussed untill us history in high school. Very much overshadowed.

getting disappointed lately by the new videos from Simple History just being recut clips from previously done content... When i see "new video" , that's what I expect; a new video on something we haven't seen before not a 27 minute video made up of 3 clips from videos that are anywhere from 2months to a year old.

Honestly this conflict is fucking Nuts. Millions of Chinese Soldiers were mobilized against South Korea and the US pushed them back.
And China caused the largest and longest retreat in U.S. Military history
