Good economic analysis by Tilewa. Government just needs to follow his advice to turn this economy around. Too many people are hurting. Leadership will need to come from the top.

NNPCL is a private limited liability company so wht dhoukd their debt be the national problem?
Let the "new owners" of NNPCL deal with their mismanagement issues!
Nigerians did not share their "profits" so why should Nigerians share their so-called "losses"...!

The short cut for me is for President Tinubu to relinquish his hold as the CEO of our oil industry, allow industry stakeholders; petroleum industry operators, IOCs, oil bearing communities, labour, Min of Finance, CBN meet to discuss issues, appoint an Ombudsman who'll go ahead to sack all the management of NNPC et al and lay the ground rules for a new oil industry that's out of the control of a favoured few but open to serving the best interest of the oil communities first, Nigerians generally with globally acceptable levels of transparency. Tilewa should be one of those to participate in the reform program.

2 reasons there is more currency in circulation are mainly because of inflation; people need more currency units to make purchases than they needed in the previous year.
Secondly, there is a mistrust between Nigerians and the CBN in terms of monetary policy like the cash seizures that took place in 2023. And also the issue of CBN introducing arbitrary charges on digital transactions. In other words, the cashless policy is turned out to be an additional economic burden on people, also adding to the problem of inflation because of the charges that some vendors take per transaction using a point of sale machine

Fuel subsidy should have nothing to do in determining the fuel prices. And those fueling the head to steal the logic of leadership might face death penalty. Production of such fuel should be made illegal..So Nigerians and those wrongly using them muat be careful. When the root of election from dies, the right person is elected and the nation knows good progress

Sir, I am not sure if you are aware of unknown naira burried underground or kept in the refrigerators, or been hidden uncirculated in the economy for decades now. Gradually these hidden money are finding their ways into the economy today when one goes to take money from the POS operators one is given such unclean naira notes. Does the CBN is aware of these money in the economy? Are there any shortfall in the CBN records for the unremitted money in circulation? The reason for the above questions shows that the CBN Monetary policy is unrealistic, unreasonable, and unjustifiable by all standards of socio-economic policy. Can the CBN take a second look at the unclean naira notes in circulation, what's going on with the monetary policy, and how would Nigerians be educated accurately?

What kind of rubbish english is displayed on the screen at minute 1:24? "Nigeria is largely a monolithic economy divided into the oil and non-oil sectors", WHAT?? If it's monolithic, why divided? The english needs translation into proper english! I guess it's the fascination with inserting the nursery school level word "largely " that is responsible. Incredible. More importantly, when is someone going to hear actual economics analysis from any of these guests of the media in Nigeria? Most of these things this guest in this session is talking are just chit-chating and unsubstantiated declarations. Government is not doing well, analysts are not doing well, May God Save Nigeria!
