@@TenzaMotorsports like... I want to find one but down in Arkansas they have all become farm truck and are rusted to hell and back or on there last legs. Nice older trucks are trailer queens or workhorses that only know abuse.
As a new RAM owner I'm amazed at how easy they are to work on, thanks for showing how the rear light clusters come out, I was hesitant at pulling them incase there was a hidden screw in the arch somewhere
Thanks for the video and links, I have a 97 1500 I scored with only 124K on it and the headlights are really faded. This upgrade will help alot. Also no link to the bulbs just the housing
Never could figure out why dodge put a gray piece of plastic on the front bumper, I covered my crome and spray painted the bumper black to match the trim on my dodge 2500.
First: Great video and great info! Second: Clicked on the link provided for the headlights... the link takes me to a 2-piece headlight. It also says it's for sport models only. Any info on which headlight this is would be appreciated!
Thanks for letting me know! Amazon Links have been giving me a lot of issues recently. The links expire or the listing gets changed and its hard to keep up with. I updated the link.
@@TenzaMotorsports Wow thanks so much! I really love the look of the headlights and wanted something updated, but that still "looks right" with this truck.
Do you find that the smoked lenses on the headlights/fog lights lower the brightness compared to the factory clear lenses? 2nd gen are notorious for dim lights from the factory.
The factory Lighting is so poor that these aftermarket lenses performed better even with a slight tint. I also used high end light bulbs. Even with these improvements this trucks front lights are marginal. I actually ended up using the led spots when other cars weren’t present.
You didnt say or I missed it. Is that diesel? Im trying to take fog lights out and with the 12v there is no room whatsoever how did you get them out without loosing your shit? P.S. Thanks for the no music 20x extra loud and getting right into it with no bs . A lot of people could learn from that. Great vid!
Thanks for the compliments! It is a 24v diesel. The fog lights weren’t easy. That’s for sure. Like I said In the video. If you can get a friend to hold that plastic up for you or remove the trim. It’ll make it much easier!
My 2001 Ram 2500 has bezel openings for the fog lamps that are smaller than the direct replacement lamps I purchased. It didn't have factory installed lamps. Any idea what to do? Thanks
You can enlarge the opening or try a different location on the truck. If mine had not come with fogs I would hav purchased after market lights and mounted them somewhere else on the bumper. The stock fogs are not that effective. Good luck with your project.
I'd like to know how the fog lights worked out. My different brand point up and out and adjustment screws only strip out! Useless. I know this video is old, but maybe someone watching can point me to a decent brand. These seem too small
@@TenzaMotorsports I believe my ram had a little bumper accident with the previous owner. Because I was able to do one side with a lot of extra maneuvers (cuting the old assembly, removing the brackets on the new one, installing the brackets again etc). But the other side is even more difficult. Anyways thanks for the video....i am getting there little by little.
Thanks for watching! Here are the removal time stamps:
Headlights 0:38
Fog lights 2:04
Center brake light 3:09
brake lights 3:34
Thank you for getting straight to the video and not talking the whole time.
Thanks!
You’ve done a ton of work. I can’t believe how much you know how to do. Impressive.
You are making me want that truck even more.... looking good
More to come! The transformation is pretty crazy before and after.

They are so easy to work on. Recording this was actually my first time pulling the lighting off the truck.
@@TenzaMotorsports my first time working on a RAM is going through the wiring harness finding out where it hasn't been spliced!
Excellent video , all tutorial videos should be done as well as this one , good job 👍
Nice upgrades. The truck is going to be awesome when done.
Nice truck! I love the white.
Looks great.
I'm going to get new lights soon

I agree. A lot of the headlights are too modern looking for that design a pick up. I’ve been very happy with my OEM style tinted headlights.
Where did you find the smoked headlights at?
Amazon. Link is in the description
Are you sure that are the right link for the headlights they don’t looked smoked like that on the picture and the side marker looks different
Amazon links change / products come and go. I’ll see if I can properly update the link!
My truck has no fog light, how do I add one? Are the connecting parts there or do they need to be added? How about adding cab lights? Thanks.
This is for the sport edition right? Ive been looking and many manufacturers state that their headlights wont fight the sport models.
Mine is not the sport model. I'm not sure what all does or doesn't fit between the two. Make sure to check fitment for sure, very important.

My foglights don't light. Is it the switch on dash or bad bulbs? I think it's the switch.
Bulbs, fuse, switch. There’s a few reasons why they might not be working.
Who makes the headlights
I really don’t remember anymore. No name basically. Changed names by now.
Where did you get the bulbs at for the headlights?
O’Reilly‘s auto parts.

@@TenzaMotorsports Just got em out 1/2 deep socket 1/4" drive with a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter then a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and 1/4 socket wrench thanks!
Geez! Yeah. Mine was just a deep 1/2” maybe like 3” deep socket and ratchet
👌
Thanks!
Were you happy with how bright the headlight/bulbs were?
Yes.
Any issues with flickering or issues with the headlights themselves?
No flickering issues.
Nice rims, are those from a 4th gen ram ? were they a direct fit? did they fit over the the rear axle hub ?
They were from a 2014 RAM. We had to do some work to make them fit. We also installed spacers. Check out the video on the wheels.
I like the lights where did you get them ?
Amazon.

how much was for both headlights
About $200.
@@TenzaMotorsports so i it doesnt come with 2?
No that’s for both.
Can not even remove the headlight. The bumper is way to high.......
Not all 2nd gen bumpers are the same.

That would make sense. I was going to ask that. But I know the second gen had serveral different bumpers
I hate when people put halos in these trucks to make them look newer. I love the stock look.
They just seem out of place to me.
