Came back to this after a few months. Ive used it a few times to show the trails we have here in Tulsa. Nice work! David is a good guy along with the rest of that crew. More stuff coming. Come on back.
Tulsa local here. I rode TM 6 days a week from 2010 to about 2017. I knew that place better than the back of my hand. I moved 20 miles north and haven't been in years. I watch it turn from a small, dirt turnaround of a parking lot to the place it is today. To see the trail systems they have now is great. I like to see they have bike-only trails now. I've almost killed myself or a hiker countless times. Great Video!
Thanks for sharing man 🤠Northwest Arkansas has a pretty similar story I would say. It is now unrecognizable compared to even 2017 - I mean that in the best way possible. On Turkey Mountain, seeing the amount of progress and trail development in just 2 years has been absolutely wild!
They are incredible! Sounds like you’ve got some great riding ahead of you 👍 I will be going out for another ride and video soon! There is a new jumpline at the top parking lot that is a blast 🤠
Tons of fantastic singletrack out here too, and some fantastic gnar and chunk. People coming to visit should absolutely plan to swing by Claremore trails as well. Tons more hand cut singletrack, some sweet jump lines, and beautiful lake views.
@@Mb0lism Claremore is more tame though, but last year after hitting the pro line a few times I had my MMA shorts somehow come undone and it got sucked up in my rear wheel right at the top of the whale tale lip . I went otb and landed on the end of the wood and broke my collar bone . I purchased fox riding pants with the ratchet strap instead of worn out Velcro lol
Thank you for this video! I’ve been hiking at Turkey for many years, but have never been a biker. I always think it’s so cool to see everyone ride downhill on the new trails. To see it from a biker’s POV was a really fun experience. Thanks for showing off my favorite place in my hometown
Nice! Zingo was named after a roller coaster at Bell's Amusement Park. The park was torn down many years ago but was a local favorite for a very long time.
Awesome! I would have wiped out 47 times on any of those trails. lol. Funny that you wearing a black and gold (yellow) shirt likes the trail called Black Gold the best. 🤣
I love visiting my family in Tulsa and they are legit 10 minutes away from Turkey mtn . Cant wait til more things are added. They just got more land for Turkey mtn.
That’s great they’re close by. That’s a win win for sure 👍 Yeah I heard they got more land which is wild… because they already have a ton of incredible trails.
@@joebikes Bales baseball park also has a great dh gnar trails and flow trail as well. Something i think you’d really enjoy as well. Its 5 minutes away from Turkey mtn.
You’ll get there! Nice and easy progression is the way to go. Don’t bite off more than you can chew 👍 And no I haven’t tried those jumps yet, they look like a blast though! I’m looking forward to getting back out there and riding them.
Hey man. What’s your route to get back to the top when you finish zingo? I felt stuck, each way said hiking only so I jumped on lochi then to the street really far away lol. First time looking for help for next time thanks And you are absolutely sick for shredding black gold lol you’re the man. So much harder than it looks
Thanks man! Black Gold is something else for sure 👍 the trails are like a spiders web, and man it’s hard to explain all the proper turns to make it up. I cheated my first time there in this video, I had my friend who is local show me around 😅
Great video, I agree Black Gold is the best trail there. But as for as XC goes I think you could do 40 miles without riding the same trail twice. There are three neighboring trail systems to the west that can easily be tied into a ride, all you have to do is cross the streets to the west. Bales, Moosier creek, and Lubell.
I'm new to mountain biking, but as far as general classifications of riding (XC, trail, enduro), how would the trails in this video be rated? Primarily the more technical ones with the jumps.
The trails in this video are definitely gravity/downhill focused. Which fits in the Enduro ratings. Most trails in this video are blue rated, but Black Gold is a black rated trail with a few optional double black features 🤙
Very cool! I am not sure if I rode USF. There are a ton of trails that I didn't have time to ride... so I definitely need to make it back out there soon 🤠
It's for the steeze man 😅 but for real, it helps to get the back end of my bike turned a bit in the air - and at the same time - it's a mechanism that helps me be the pilot of the bike and not a passenger.
@@Thezazaas Stay safe, start small and work up to larger things if that is what you want to do 🤠 find yourself a really small, low speed, low consequence jump that you feel super comfortable on. Repeat that until you feel ready to step up to the next bigger jump and repeat. Take you time, be smart, stay safe, and enjoy the ride! 😎
It's nice to have these great trails, but you are right. They need a lot of maintenance. We experience the same issue in Northwest Arkansas area. Many of our trails are volunteer maintained 👍
I don't like how black golds first drop has a rock after the wood part.. I have hit all the dh trails except black gold because I hit everything by myself without anyone to follow . I was supposed to follow someone in but they "slept in" so I was by myself and didn't want to hit stuff like that blind, especially by myself unless I crashed. I have crashed and broken bones and my phone went flying and I couldn't find it, so I had to get all the way back myself and then go to hospital
Dude yes it’s always best to follow someone in first time. And riding with a buddy is not only safer if you crash, but it’s just a lot more fun sharing the stoke 🤙 hope you tackle Black Gold on your own time!
@@SumGuyLovesVideos I just went ahead and hit it anyway. I hung out for hours and didn't see one person hit black gold. I did bring another person in case I got hurt.
COMMENT! What trail would you most like to ride in this video? And are you a Tulsa local? Let me know in the comments 🤠
Tulsa local here! David is a great guide for sure. We love Turkey mountain trails and especially visitors to come ride them with us!

Boomtown is my favorite here at Turkey. Still trying to work up to Black Gold since I mostly ride solo on a hard tail trail bike. Great video.
Boomtown is a great trail for sure! I would like to take a hardtail out here sometime also 🤠
Local here and hike/run there all the time. Love watching the bikers. Such talent.
Cool! I really like how the hiking and biking trails all interconnect here 🤠

Thank you! And you don't have to get airtime to have fun 🤠you should try the green trails and the paths there sometime. They're great 👍
Great video showing the Turkey Trails.
Thanks 🤠
We used to build ramps like this in the woods as a kid those were the best days
Thanks for the visit. David is a great advocate for MTN cycling in the area. Great video!
Thanks very much! 🤠
I need to go back here looks amazing!
DO IT! It's absolutely fantastic and worth the trip 🤠
Thx for your vid ., it has been 12 years since I have been there .
Thank you for watching! I would be it's unrecognizable now... in the best way 🤠

I’m already planning my next trip for all the new chunk lines going in (I teased that in this video a bit). I’ll have to try Claremore sometime also 🤠

No way. I've lived down the road for decades and had no idea. Awesome

Wildcat was another Bell's rollercoaster.
Very cool history there! Appropriate name, Zingo is very much like a roller coaster 🤠
im new to mountainbiking i work about 15 min. from turkey mountain. cant wait to check it out
That’s great you live so close 👍 take it easy while you’re learning. No need to rush anything. And enjoy the progression! 🤠

The metal flyover on Black Gold was set up as a drop when they first built it. They changed it before the trail was opened.
Wow I didn’t know that! 🤠 that would have been pretty cool to see!
Love these trails, someday I'll get to Black Gold level, have you tried the sky jumps they just put it at the top lot?
