Today we travel into the deepest regions of space as we go to protect the Galaxy from a religious cult that is soon to make everything very bad, but making sure that we gain all 59 achievements along the way in Guardians Of The Galaxy! With the car crash of The Avengers game that came before this, does Guardians have a chance to shine? Or does it fall at the same hurdles of Avengers? Well let’s find out by grinding all 59 achievements!

I genuinely loved this game, one thing that DIDNT make sense- was Thanos. EVERYONE in the game believes Drax killed him, but Drax is the only one that doesnt believe he did. kinda wish they touched apon tht more tbh
That confused me as well!
I feel like it was left open for the sequel.
I think it's implied that something happened between Thanos and Adam Warlock during the war that took place before the events of the game. We find out that Adam was killed in front of Raker but we don't know how/by who. Meanwhile Drax says he just suddenly passed out while fighting Thanos and when he woke up Thanos had vanished without a trace. The timeline is a little unclear but these events seem to have happened pretty close to each other.
In the comics Thanos and Adam initially team up to defeat the Magus, later turning on each other when Adam discovers that Thanos plans to murder everybody, so Thanos kills Adam but Adam returns from the dead to kill Thanos right back.
Something else I found curious; if you watch carefully during the scene when the Guardians come and rescue Adam after his fight with Raker, when Adam says "Gamora, daughter of Thanos" he breaks eye contact and glances to the side at Thanos' name. Could be nothing I suppose, but it seems significant to me.
Long as fuck, Drax has trauma and can’t really cope cause all he lived for was revenge for his family and when he killed Thanos he couldn’t make himself have a new goal in life so he belives that Thanos is still alive and therefore he needs to kill him for revenge, its like the girl from Utopia whos mom was killed in front of her, she keeps doing homework saying its gonna be late to lie to herself, she cant mentally cope with her moms death so she lies to herself, Drax does the same, and it was lightly touched on? In his dream thing where the gang fights Thanos, he keeps multiplying and thats his brain making lies about Thanos, that he isnt dead, tldr Drax has issues and lies to himself, by the way, im in no way a psychologist or therapist, i just know random shit that i sometimes pull from the endless void that is my brain
Later in the game they say something about people that could save universe but noo fuck them gardians of the galaxy will save galaxy
Fun fact for those that didn't know when playing through the game; The Dweller-in-Darkness is also the giant flying soul sucking bat monster at the end of Shang Chi.
omg thats so cool--thank you for sharing! Fing Fang Foom is also a giant enemy in the comics too. They really held true to the visuals.

Great to see this underrated game that flew under a ton of peoples' radars get some love.
Some of the dialog triggers overlapped if you sprinted or even walked straight through an area, but otherwise I liked the story and takes on these characters.
Wish they signaled The Collector was important to visit though, I got scammed and got plushies instead, lmao.

This Game is genuinely one of the best ones I’ve played I haven’t beat it yet but it’s still amazing
The one issue I had with this game is how we have all these cool characters, including a raccoon armed to the teeth and a walking tree, and yet we're forced to play as the blonde human american dude named Peter.
I get that making other characters playable would be massive on the budget, but as you said it, I don't think it'd hurt it if the game happened to be a bit shorter.
I have that same question for Mass Effect
I believe they changed it due to the massive flop of the avengers game. I would imagine this game would’ve been similar to that with the multiplayer focused gameplay, but the avengers probably scared the devs into paying it safe.
I cant blame them, they would also need to craft an entire new melee system to make Drax and Mora interesting to play. Maybe its something they could do for a sequel though now the first one was successful

I had a lot of fun getting the platinum in this. The first platinum I wanted to get since Ghost of Tsushima. I'm not really a trophy hunter, could care less, but I like watching other people getting them. I just have the time to really devote myself to mastering so many games. This one was really fun and not too challenging. The only one I had to go back for after the game was the outfits because I missed 2 or 3 and then had to figure out which ones I never equipped. Took me a few minutes, but it was the last and only one needed after completing the game. Great video.

This game was great, I was surprised I didn't get bored of the combat, most might find it repetitive, which it is, but with the mix of using abilities, it didnt stop my enjoyment. And honestly I think the game plays better with a controller than MnK, everything feels more natural for me. The story was also great too, I found more love to the characters, than I thought I would. Definitely handled their characters better than the avenger's game.

I found using friends abilities to be way more intuitive on a controller, if I remember correctly you held a trigger, pressed one of a,b,y,x to select a friend, then again to select one of 4 abilities

It would be realy cool to see u try metro series, and darksiders aswell, since u stream the whole process, darksiders should be a good one (good game, dont know If the achievments are super annoying or anything).
And you could do some "progress video", maybe after a year, to show the Steam account you use for this runs (not the account exactly, more like showing off the games that u managed to 100% that year and the total of 100% games and achievments u have, that would be cool, of course being careful not to show any account info like nicknames or anything).

This game was such a surprise. I genuinely expected it to be terrible, but it was so good. Mantis is by far my favorite in the game. She's so adorable.
Though I do disagree about its length. I appreciated that it was longer. Then again, I prefer long games. It's always a disappointment to me when I complete a games story in about 6 or 7 hours.

If you havn't completed maneater already, there is something to be weary of. If you complete the everything before doing the final boss battle the achievment for completing it is locked and an entire new playthrough must be done. This might be fixed since it was quite som time since I completed it, but I wouldn't risk it.
This game was so amazing it showed us how not every game needs a live service the story was very emotional and had so much replayability I kid you not I played this game 3 times just for how fun and amazing it is

This game was far better than it had a right to be. It does lack some quality of life features but since Avengers likely hurt this games sale it was kind of just forgotten by the devs after release

I liked the game and it's story but I was sad we couldn't fully control everyone.
