Do you guys have any small prairie towns you enjoy visiting? Thanks for watching!

      Lockport, MB
St. Andrews Lock and Dam is a National Historic Site.
One of only 3 Camere Curtain movable dams constructed world wide and the only one in service. World Class cat fishing located below the dam.
Forks Market in Winnipeg is worth checking out as well as Grand Beach, MB
      Great Video!

Have you visited Qu’Appelle? (Not Fort Qu’Appelle). Beautiful community with stunning great homes.

Great video. I started doing family history about ten years ago and since then have become quite interested in small prairie towns and their histories, especially in Saskatchewan, they would have been the world's my father, grandparents, and great grandparents would have known.

The CBC site at Watrous was an amazing piece of architecture. The entire large lobby was a 1” tiled map of Canada, with every transmitting site designated.
A couple of the CBC transmitter techs might not actually say the place is *haunted*, but when a generator that was decommissioned 25 years ago suddenly kicks in…. There were guys that refused to attend that site alone.😮

Thanks for watching - I wish I could have seen that building, I love the art deco style and it seemed like a really interesting place! Cool to know about the strange activity happening there too. Watrous/Manitou Beach was way more interesting that I thought it would be and I plan on going back soon. Cheers mate

That is interesting. My late brother used to travel from Penzance, SK to Watrous for doctor visits. I've driven by, but never entered the town. I might have to add it to the list of interesting SK towns. :)

Grew up 2 towns over, been there many times. My brother has livesd and worked there for almost 30 years. We used to go skinny dipping at Manitou as I got my drivers licence. I remember that radio place but I didn know what it was. I got patched up at the hospital one time after wiping out on a dirt bike. Oh the good times. Manitou is so salty we used to joke about floating rocks. It really is a nice little town with some decent amenities. I was absolutely amazed at what I learned about Watrous and Manitou, thank you. I will subscribe, I hope to see more. I also have a suggestion for you that would really interest people, maybe a couple. Let me know👏🙏🤲

There is a large stone along the lake that people from across the country make pilgrimage to. Its on private property and i have not visited it myself.

Interesting, I didn't know about the pilgrimage! There is an annual pilgrimage to Lac Ste Anne in Alberta and I noticed there are a couple similarities between the two lakes. Cheers mate

@@strangenorth usually it's very small groups or individuals that visit it from what I have heard. The manitou watrous area has a lot of interesting history. The Indigenous used the area a lot prior to the land being settled.

Hey thanks for watching and I appreciate when people take the time to comment - you know what I was there briefly a couple years ago when I was getting footage of haunted locations across Alberta but I didn't stay long. It looked like a cool little town though and I'd like to go back sometime. Cheers
