Hinduism is dharma it's not religious jo sache hindu hain woh sabhi dharm aur religious ko ijjat aur saman maante hain bcoz hindu it self had lots of god's and believes but ant main hum sab ek hain . I really really appreciate how you're eager to know about Hinduism. Well, Hinduism is actually more of a code of moral conduct. It's a way of life.
The morals of Hinduism teaches you how to lead life, do your duties, and teaches the true purpose of your life.
It tells us about the true nature of the imperishable soul, about afterlife and the key feature of Hinduism is how it explains the true purpose of a soul is to unite with God.
For all these reasons Hinduism is also called "Sanatan Dharma", or the eternal Dharma. Now the term "Dharma" is loosely translated as religion by the modern people, but actually Dharma does not exactly mean religion.
There's no proper word in English to describe what "Dharma" exactly means. It means righteousness. It also means your duty.
So we can say, Dharma means the right code of conduct and following righteousness.
Anciently, there was no concept of religion as such.
Because mostly people followed Sanatan Dharma and therefore was no concept of not following a religion too.
Only those who opposed Dharma, were called Adharmi.
Those who diverted from the path of GOODNESS and righteousness, were adharmis.
"Karma" on the other hand means our actions. It is important for a soul in a human body to perform Karma in alignment with Dharma. Thus, the soul's Karma will be counted as good karmas or good actions.
We believe, our soul is eternal and imperishable. That means even if the human body dies, the soul continues its journey. It takes another body, be it a human body or a body in animal kingdom.
Verse 22 from Shrimad Bhagwat Gita says, "vāsānsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya
    navāni gṛihṇāti naro ’parāṇi
    tathā śharīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇānya
    nyāni sanyāti navāni dehī"
Meaning: As a person sheds worn-out garments and wears new ones, likewise, at the time of death, the soul casts off its worn-out body and enters a new one.
So according to the karmas that we do in this life- good or bad, we take birth in our next one.
Ultimately this cycle of birth and death continues, until a soul attains liberation or freedom from the cycle of birth and death.
Gita says, it's only possible by "yog" which are ways to unite with God. There are different yog prescribed in Gita but the best of all of them is- Bhakti Yoga or the path of devotion.
We believe in polymorphic monotheism. That means, we believe that there's one power, one Supreme Personality of Godhead but he can manifest himself in different forms.
Out of the different oppulences and qualities that God has, one is omnipotency. We say God is omnipotent, which he is.
So if he is omnipotent- why can't he have form of himself?
So Shree Krishna says in Gita, that he has three types of forms- The Brahman, the Paramatma and Bhagwan.
Brahman is described as a ray of light. Shree Krishna, the Supreme Lord, says, that the ray of light that knowers considers as "Brahman" is nothing but a light emitting from his feet. His bodily effulgence crosses the effulgence of millions of suns.
    Second, the "paramatma".
Shree Krishna also says in Gita that he resides in every living being as the Supersoul. He is seated in the heart of every living being but he just keeps a watch and does interfere with the activities of the soul. Why? Because God has blessed the individual souls who are a part of him, with something called "free will". Since one of God's quality is that he is independent, he has given the individual souls free will. So he does not interfere with the soul's activities.
Lastly, His "Bhagwan" form is his personal form. He has a beautiful form filled with all transcendental qualities and opulences.
He has this form so that his devotees can medidate on his beautiful form and engage their senses in the names, forms, pastimes and cross the material ocean, that is, this world and attain God.
His Brahman form can't bestow mercy. Why? Because it's "Nirguna, Nirakar" as in qualityless, formless and shapeless.
But his Bhagwan form is full of qualities and opulences and can bestow divine mercy on the devotees.
That was a very small trailer of Sanatan Dharma.
Hope this could help you in your quest to know Hinduism.🥰

Hindu is a term crafted by invaders..
1- But to phrase it technically..Sindu ('S' was pronounced as 'H') by greek people..
2- However.. Hindu term was used as Gento while writing gento code bill and Muslim Code Bill during British court establishment times...
Hinduism believes in creator, orator, destroyer
However to worship.. we are free to worship in any manner..
    God Brahma is the creator
God Vishnu is the orator (who nurtures the living)
God Shiv is the destroyer.. who takes us in peace to rest..
Goddess Shakti who is the mother she creates, nurtures and destroys...
These are four Sects.. but people are free to follow all 4 or any 1..
People say.. there are 33 crore gods and goddesses in Hinduism which a** false statement**
In sanskrit crore is written as Koti which has two meaning
    1- crore
    2- types or bifurcation
So basically there 33 demi gods... Search about it..
There is a difference between Bhagwan (God) and Dev (Lords/Demi Gods)

Hindu word came from the Sindhu civilisation very first civilisation in India that's way after ages that word goes and then it becomes hindu

  • @economicsadda7376
    @economicsadda7376 3 года назад +13

The term and concept of Hinduism was coined only in recent times. Otherwise, there was really no such thing. The word "Hindu" essentially comes from the word Sindhu. Anyone who is born in the land of Sindhu is a Hindu. It is a cultural and geographic identity. It is like saying “I am an Indian” but it is a more ancient identity than being an Indian. “Indian” is only about seventy years old, but this is an identity that we have always lived with.
Being a Hindu does not mean having a particular belief system. Basically, the whole culture was oriented towards realizing one’s full potential. Whatever you did in this culture was Hindu. There is no particular god or ideology that you can call as the Hindu way of life. You can be a Hindu irrespective of whether you worship a man-god or a woman-god, whether you worship a cow or a tree. If you don't worship anything you can still be a Hindu.
It is only recently and due to external influences that this geographical and cultural identity has attempted to transform itself into a religious identity called Hinduism. Hindu was never an “ism”, and the attempt to organize it as a religion is still not successful because the Hindu way of life which is referred to as Sanatana Dharma or universal law is all-inclusive in nature and does not exclude anything. The Hindu way of life is not an organized belief system but a science of salvation.
    The science of salvation
The conflicts in the world have always been projected as good versus bad, but really, the conflict is always one man’s belief versus another man’s belief. In the past, religion was far more important to people than it is now, but still there were no theocratic states in this culture; the ruler had his religion and the subjects had the freedom to follow theirs. There was no conflict because people did not look at religion as an organized process.
Everywhere in the world, whenever anyone spoke anything other than the existing organized religion of that time, the first thing that the people said was, “Kill.” In Europe, thousands of women were burnt at the stake simply because they showed other kinds of possibilities and capabilities that were not logically understood by people. So they were labeled as witches and burnt. Persecution has always been the thing. Some of the famous ones that you know who were persecuted were
Jesus , Mansoor and Socrates. They were persecuted simply because they showed other kinds of capabilities which were not considered normal.
So, wherever spirituality happened in the West, it always happened in secrecy. It always was individual or in small groups, never as a society. But in this culture, there has never been anything called persecution for spiritual people. At the most, they called you for debates and asked you questions. Because the pursuit is truth, so people sat down and argued whether what they knew was true or what the other person knew was true. If his truth was more powerful than yours, you become a part of him. If your truth was more powerful than theirs, they would become a part of you. It is a very different kind of search. People were searching to know. They were not just believing and trying to prove that their belief was right.
Everywhere else people believe “God created
.” Here we know we created god so we take l freedom to create whatever kind of god we can relate to.
There is no belief system to the Hindu way of life. Someone believes in God, someone else can choose not to believe in God. Everybody can have their own way of worship and way to salvation. If there are five people in your family, each one can worship the God of their choice, or not worship anything, and still be a good Hindu. So you are a Hindu irrespective of what you believe or don't believe.
At the same time, there was a common line running through all these. In this culture , the only goal in human life is liberation or mukti. Liberation from the very process of life, from everything that you know as limitations and to go beyond that. God is not held as the ultimate thing, God is seen as one of the stepping stones. This is a Godless but a devout nation in the sense that there is no concretized idea of God. When I say Godless, we need to understand that this is the only culture that has given humans the freedom not just to make a choice of Gods, but to create the sort of God that you can relate to. You can worship a rock, a cow, your mother - you can worship whatever you feel like - because this is a culture where we have always known that God is our making. Everywhere else people believe “God created us.” Here we know we created god so we take total freedom to create whatever kind of god we can relate to. People worshiped whatever aspect of life they related to most, and that was perfectly fine.
    A Godless nation
In the East, spirituality and religion were never an organized process. Organization was only to the extent of making spirituality available to everyone - not for conquest. Essentially, religion is about you, it is not about God. Religion is about your liberation. God is just one more stepping stone that you can use or skip towards your ultimate liberation. This culture recognizes human wellbeing and freedom as of paramount importance versus the prominence of God, and hence the whole technology of god-making evolved into the science of consecrating various
types of energy forms and spaces.
The essential purpose of God is to create reverence in a person. What you are reverential towards is not important. Being reverential is what is important. If you make reverence the quality of your life, then you become far more receptive to life. Life will happen to you in bigger ways. There is so much misunderstanding about these things because there is a certain dialectical ethos to the culture where we want to express everything in a story or in a song. But in a way, this whole culture referred to as Hindu is rooted in the spiritual ethos of each individual working toward ultimate liberation as the fundamental goal in life.
If you explore mysticism in India, it is absolutely incredible and this has been possible because it does not come from a belief system. It happens as a scientific means to explore dimensions beyond the physical.
India is not a study, but a phenomenon of possibilities, though a cauldron of multiple cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic soup. It is all held together by a single thread of seeking. The tremendous longing has been nurtured into the peoples of the land, the longing to be free. Free from the very process of life and death. India cannot be studied, at the least one must soak it in, or at best must dissolve. This is the only way. It cannot be studied, western analysis of India is too off the mark, as symptomatic analysis of Bharat will only lead to very grossly misunderstood conclusions of a nation that revels and thrives in a chaos that is organic and exuberant.
This most ancient of nations upon this earth is not built upon a set of principles or beliefs or ambitions of its citizenry. It is a nation of seekers, seeking not wealth or wellbeing, but liberation, not of economic or political kind, but the ultimate liberation.
When Adiyogi was asked how many ways to enlightenment, he said only 112 if you are within the realm of your physical system, but if you transcend the physical, then every atom in the universe is a doorway. “Bharat”, as the nation has been known for many millennia, is a complex amalgamation of this variety of spiritual possibilities. If you happen to be at the Maha Kumbh, there was quite a display of this. The best compliment came from none other than Mark Twain, after his visit to India, he said, “So far as I am able to judge, nothing has been left undone, either by man or nature, to make India the most extraordinary country that the sun visits on his rounds. Nothing seems to have been forgotten, nothing overlooked.”
    Bharata
One must not forget that the basis of seeking is that One has realized that One does not know. One does not know the nature of One’s being. Instead of settling for a culturally convenient belief, for a whole populace to have the courage and commitment to seek the truth about themselves. This the basis of this nation that is called Bharata. Bha meaning sensation, that is the basis of all experience and expression; Ra meaning Raga, the tune and texture of life; Ta meaning Tala, the rhythms of life, which involve both rhythms of the human system and nature.
To preserve, protect and nurture the fundamental ethos of Bharat, the legacy of wisdom and unbridled exploration of life is a true gift to the Humanity as a whole. As a generation, this is an important responsibility that we should fulfill. Let not the limitless possibilities that the sages of this land explored and expounded be lost in religious bigotry and senseless simplistic dogmas

according to charles darwin human evolve from amoeba that live in water-
like wise Lord Vishnu took first incarnation of Fish coz it live only in water.
according to darwin then from Fish, cells spitted into multiple cell and then took the shape of animal that can live on both land and water.
So lord vishnu also had Tortoise incarnation.
Then Darwin told slowly slowly after a thousand of years animal came that can live in water land and mud,
So lord vishnu also had Varah Avtar that live on all three places.
Then darwin told further cells developed and act as a quite sensible to attack and defend
So do lord vishnu had Narsingh incarnation
Later darwin told slowly slowly after thousand of year growth further happened then human formation taking place but they were small in height
So do vishnu had Vaman incarnation
    Till here Darwin explained
but after that satyug came that told Good and Evil lives in two different spaces.
then treta yug came of Lord Rama where Good and Evil stays in Earth from two different spaces.
Then after Dwapar Yug came of Lord Shree Krishna that tells Good and Evil starts living in one family
and Now Kalyug came that tells Good and Evil lives in Single Body that is we human
So this is how we neglected our great culture(history) and taken Darwin though Darwin took the thing from us.
There are much more to write but this is enough for time being.
    Thanks!!!!! Jai Shree Ram

This is our history.🙏The war of Mahabharata was fought between the two brothers for the kingdom and wealth. One of the reasons for being Mahabharata is to eliminate those who do bad things. There were 5 Pandavas on one side and 100 Kauravas on the other side. The war of Mahabharata lasted for 18 days, in which the Pandavas won.You should react to the full story of Mahabharata for more information. And also react to more videos of Star Plus's Mahabharata as well.

You guys gave real sound idea of the way wise and knowledgeable people of the world look up on Hinduism. Let me give you my two bits too: When I was doing some research on the common features between different religions, I read somewhere that apparently Krishna is considered as one of the 124,000 prophets that have been send to the material world. Not just that but 'jihaad' whose meaning unfortunately is distorted now, actually refers to the Dharma yuddha (War of dharma), Mahabharata that allegedly took place in Kurukshetra so many years ago. Also get this: The story of Noah's ark is extremely similar to the story of Vishnu's first avatara, the Matsya or the Fish, where Manu (similar to Noah) escapes a great flood in a large boat in which he carries other people and animals and saves them. Adam and Eve (Hawwa) were very similar again to Manu and his wife Shatarupa, who actually populated the Earth. I read in Hayat al-Qulub (Life of Hearts) which has these stories of different prophets according to Islam, that the prophets are sent considering the conditions of the time. Prophet Mohammad was sent when people started reading and writing and hence his teachings were detailed in the 'book' Quran.
In summary, I guess what I would like to say is this: All religions say necessarily the same thing in different languages.

Mahabharata is indeed one of the greatest epics of all tym
The story itself gives you a summary of life
Their are many shades of characters in Mahabharata which depicts how different kind of persons exit today
Wether they are good or bad or complex.
When it comes to god in Mahabharata we talk about lord Krishna who is the incarnation of lord Vishnu.
His duty was to destroy evil and establish dharma again.
He talked and preached about what is right and what is wrong ( which is well described in bhagwatgita )
Also he was the one who showed the right path to pandavas.
Agar koi isko religious point of view se na dekhkar ek story ke point of view se bhi dekhe na toh wo bohot kuch seekh sakta hae.
Ye ek aisa epic hae jismein duniya ke saare problem ka solution hae.

Hindus are basically the residents of a particular geographic territory which covers from the Himalayas to the Indian ocean. Britishers made it a religion and made us fought among ourselves and created boundaries. Anyway, the Mahabharat war actually started with the harassment of Droupadi, wife of the pandavs, by the Kauravas. One of the kauravas tried to undress Draupadi in front of the entire Raj durbar. The ones who supported the kauravas either silently or actively were the adharmis. And the ones who walked the path of Dharma were the pandavs who fought the war led by Krishna. It's a complex story, but that's the gist. Watch it if you get time someday. Whether you consider it true or false, doesn't really matter, there is actually a lot to learn. You can even debate or criticise any character you like, Hinduism believes with criticism, there is scope for development. Also, it's your story as well, as much as it is ours. It's the story of this land. :)

Mahabharat, is a an Epic about two families fight for a Kingdom, and to gain that Kingdom, how low a person sinks, it also reveals the character of a person, and he can be noble and also most depraved.
There has never been such an Epic, with over 2000 personalities.
University of Chicago has been carrying on research on Mahabharata for over 90 years, has produced their research in over 64 volumes, and has not reached half way.
This cenamatic versions is not only for entertainment , but it revels the cultural Ethos of Bharat.
Go to Indonesia, a Muslim country, but follows those cultural Ethos. In central Square, one finds Statue of Lord Khrisna giving discourse on meaning of life, to Arjuna, and all this narrative in GITA, a book dear to all Hindus- Sanatanis.

For thousands of years Hinduism was also the belief system of what is now called Pakistan. There are around 500 Hindu temples in Pakistan where once, I am sure most of Pakistan worshiped but now they are mostly destroyed and in dilapidated condition. There are many ancient places that are related to Mahabharata too. Even Afghanistan...Gandhara had its history related to Mahabharata.
My ancestors belonged to (what is now) Pakistan. Near Indus and Punjab too. After 1100s and more so the1300s the demographics started changing.
