Really helpful. I was playing around with copper plating over the holidays and my usb 5v 0.5amp power supply was too much for small parts (needs around 1amp for a 10cm (4 inch) by 10cm area). I had an old electronics kit, so I got a potentiometer (10k) and wired in series. Using a multimeter, also in series, I could monitor the changing amps. Was still a bit too 'spicy', even at the lowest amps i could get (the parts are tiny propellers). So i used your same potentiometer trick with a 1.5v AA battery. Seems to be working and not covering parts in 'burnt' copper oxide any more.
Thank you for the video and your philosophy around education.
    Happy New Year!

Well I never took no college education stuff but I just checked this video out to confirm if my tinkering was correct I figured out how to put two potentiometers in series so that I have one that's just a dial for the throttle of my e-bike and the other one is my throttle since my controller didn't come with any multi-speed settings or anything I just placed into my throttle lines and ran to potentiometers in series so that I could manually adjust the top speed a governor if you will because I don't like having to hold the throttle at an in between position because the spring is annoying for my thumb it's more comfortable to push all the way down but going Full Throttle constantly is not always desired so I installed the extra potentiometer
