- A very random fact: Ennio Morricone realized that his theme for the film "Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion" ( • Ennio Morricone - Inda... ) reminded him of the theme of "The Sicilian Clan" ( • Ennio Morricone - Il C... ), also written by him.
"After reflecting further on this resemblance, I then realized that the other theme as well was derived from my own idealization of Johann Sebastian Bach's Fugue in Am. In search of originality, I found myself trapped in one of my deepest loves".
This video contains the Prelude of the Fugue that I posted earlier here: • J.S. Bach - Fugue in A...
Omg so happy to see this! And the fugue is one of my favourites. Can't wait
I love the sonority, I love the tempo. This pierces right through the listener. Triumphant!
Thank you!
Great! Tuned for the fugue!
Been waiting for this one!
I'll put it together with the fugue soon, so I have the full piece.
Beautiful, thank you.
Thanks for listening!
Love these new sounds - fab.
Thank you!
Magnificent.
Great! 😎🎹
Glad you like it!
The graphics together with the music, makes the music complete picture easier to follow and understand. Thanks for your contribution to the progress in music, dear OrzoMondo !!
Thank you so much for your continued patronage!
Supercool as always!
Thank you!!
Such an oddly satisfying way to approach Bach
Completely agree - I've been doing it for years and I still marvel at how weird it is. Sounds good though, doesn't it? :)
@@OrzoMondo certainly. Almos hypnotizing
This sounds so good!
Thank you!
YESSS!!! YOU ARE THE GREATEST ORZOMONDO!!!!
THANK YOU!! :)
Wow! Thank you for the video and Morricone's info... Well done!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for this! I bet it takes a lot of hard work.. but it is really worthwhile to hear Bach with different instruments, specially synthesized instruments.
Thank you so much!
Oooooo, BWV 560 soon? I know the authorship is a bit dubious, but it's a wonderful Prelude & Fugue. Ton Koopman has a godly recording of it.
I love suggestions, thank you! Time to study something new :)
Great
Thanks for this, OrzoMondo - it's one of my favourite pieces.
The A Minor prelude is, superficially, a straightforward piece, with clearly defined sections and plenty of opportunities for artistic elaboration. You've made a good job of pointing up the drama and contrasts, which I think are so important in this work.
Your version is also quite 'bouncy', and very enjoyable. That, I can't explain!
Thank you so much Karl - before I started doing this "job" I never realised how playful and showy these preludes are. I don't think the organ gives them justice :)
That first bass note.. omg... and why is it modulating afterwards? That bass note is swimming around with the harmony. Amazing... Please explain it. Masterclass time.
It's just a low-pass filter, the filter is set with lots of resonance, and the cutoff is closed slowly, so although the note is held, the high frequency component is gradually reducing, so at the end you have only bass, and there's this "sweeping" effect all the time. Fun :)
ohhh shhhhiiii......
❤
Hey OrzoMondo, when will you do BWV 553?? I’m eager to hear it
I'm working both on 552 and 553, so I hope soon!
