It was this video that helped me figure out how to actually play this amazing game. This is by-far the most complex Valeria title to date and there's a lot of stuff you need to keep track. For instance, there are only 4 things you can do on your turn, but technically, you're juggling a bunch of other possibilities like slaying monsters, buying citizens, gaining influence, gaining resources, and gaining gems. It's very round-about. Other Valeria games were very straightforward in how you gain something on your turn. Here, you're playing many moves ahead to eventually acquire influence so your end-game VP is worth something.
I was already very interested in this game. This video was very useful. It looks the most complex of the Valeria games but your explanation made it easy to understand. Will there be a review coming?
Great video ! Good job! Just One question. Hero Tomb Standing/Lay down action 's function it's Just to remember the Knights you have deploy in cemetery in your turn?
Hi Mark, try the link in the description for the question so the publisher and designer can chime in as it’s been a long time since I’ve looked over the rules. Thanks
If memory serves, the Knight Tomb function of standing up vs laying down was recognize when a bonus was obtained. If no bonus obtained, the Knight is standing. If a bonus obtained then the Knight is laid down.
Cool video, watching it so I can teach the game tonight (played it twice so far). One question: during setup you give one crystal to each player. Where in the rules is that? Was is added afterwards? Cheers from Switzerland, keep up the great work!!!
Glad it helped Fabian! Yes it was in the setup of the rules . I believe it was in the player setup portion after you already put the # of gems +1 on the board.
Great! Yes without rulebook! I understand everything! Many wishes from Greece!
Glad it helped Spiros!
