I'm assuming this was taken out because they realized Rumple learning of this "betrayal" had to happen later in the story and used as a plot device to setback emma and reginas initial attempt to awaken henry?
that said this handles really well just how many people regina screwed over and if she simply stopped once to be respectful to Jefferson's deals he wouldn't have turned on her 😂
