If you are being tired of your daily work routine & hectic schedule; you need a little escape to some place where you can just relax in a peaceful environment to get your body, mind & soul rejuvenated.
But you also don't want to get harsh on your savings then Rishikesh is the best option. You can also visit the nearby places to Rishikesh like Mussoorie and Landour, that too in budget.
We started our journey with Rishikesh, staying there in Geeta Ashram which costs around 400-500 INR for a room per night (For 2-3 people).
There are many pocket friendly food options to try out, starting from 25 INR per plate (Aloo Puri) or have a Thali at Chotiwala which is quite sufficient for 2 persons.
Next, we went to Kempty Falls and Landour by car. You can also hire a Taxi from Rishikesh but it would cost you more, so better option is to travel by your own vehicle if possible. The roads are quite safe and maintained, so you can drive safely.
Our trip was for 5 Days which amounted to 5000 INR (For a Couple) including stay, food and travel from Rishikesh to Mussoorie and Landour.
Additional cost to this will be of reaching Rishikesh on the first and going back.
